A revelation - of sorts

I've been working with those pieces of fabrics that I put together and so far they've turned into these...

They're all different sizes, depending on the amount of fabric pieces I had.  There are three more in the works and then I can call that project done, dusted, and downsized.  All are headed for the Christmas box.  Served the purpose of getting rid of those fabrics from my stash so that's a good thing.

Today's quote..."FEAR has two meanings.  Forget Everything and Run or Face Everything and Rise.  The choice is yours"

    1. It's a case of trying to use up stash that's been lurking around for far too long. I think I've had a lot of these pieces for at least twenty years so it's high time!

  3. Great Totes and nice sizes by the look of them. They'll be appreciated. Fabulous fun art items - if displayed in a Needlework Shop, the Owner would probably sell out most of her threads. The photo s=collection looks like several generations- a cool idea indeed.

    1. I don't any two of the totes are the same size - part of the beauty of using up scraps I guess.

    1. I've seen those quilts done as shelves of books but I like the addition of the photos. I won't be doing it myself but it's a fun idea anyway.

    1. I'm just happy to clear out a bunch of fabric pieces I've had for far too long. Most people can find a use for a tote bag so hopefully they'll be welcome gifts.

    1. Yes, they're definitely colourful! At least working with the varying colours kept me somewhat interested. They're all done now and I'm hugely relieved.

  8. Beautiful bags they each could be a gift bag.
Love the quote. For me, running works when rising makes no sense. I try to stick by Mark Twain in that regard, "Don't argue with stupid people because they will drag you down to their level, and beat you with their experience."

    1. What a great Mark Twain quote! I like 'you can't fix stupid' - although I have no idea who originated it.
