I've been working with those pieces of fabrics that I put together and so far they've turned into these...
They're all different sizes, depending on the amount of fabric pieces I had. There are three more in the works and then I can call that project done, dusted, and downsized. All are headed for the Christmas box. Served the purpose of getting rid of those fabrics from my stash so that's a good thing.
Today's quote..."FEAR has two meanings. Forget Everything and Run or Face Everything and Rise. The choice is yours"
Really nice bags you've made; I like that they are color coded...

Thanks Julierose. I just have to put the finishing touches on them and I can call them done, done and done!
DeleteGreat idea to turn those scraps into tote bags. They always come in handy. Nice links. Thanks
ReplyDeleteIt's a case of trying to use up stash that's been lurking around for far too long. I think I've had a lot of these pieces for at least twenty years so it's high time!
DeleteGreat Totes and nice sizes by the look of them. They'll be appreciated. Fabulous fun art items - if displayed in a Needlework Shop, the Owner would probably sell out most of her threads. The photo s=collection looks like several generations- a cool idea indeed.
ReplyDeleteI don't any two of the totes are the same size - part of the beauty of using up scraps I guess.
DeleteNow THAT's a memory quilt with all those pics. Love your clever idea for using your scraps.
ReplyDeleteI've seen those quilts done as shelves of books but I like the addition of the photos. I won't be doing it myself but it's a fun idea anyway.
DeleteThat's a great use of scraps Mary Anne and a great addition to your Christmas box! Loved your saying today.... very true of life! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI'm just happy to clear out a bunch of fabric pieces I've had for far too long. Most people can find a use for a tote bag so hopefully they'll be welcome gifts.
DeleteHi Maryanne wow I love your bags ,great work they are lovely and colourful, well done my friend xx
ReplyDeleteYes, they're definitely colourful! At least working with the varying colours kept me somewhat interested. They're all done now and I'm hugely relieved.
DeleteNice bags. What a good idea for using up scraps.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Stash reduction is an ongoing process and these certainly helped.
DeleteBeautiful bags they each could be a gift bag.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote. For me, running works when rising makes no sense. I try to stick by Mark Twain in that regard, "Don't argue with stupid people because they will drag you down to their level, and beat you with their experience."
What a great Mark Twain quote! I like 'you can't fix stupid' - although I have no idea who originated it.
DeleteLove the fun bags and one can never have too many bags. So many talented artists. Such an amazng wall hanging to look like a bookcase complete with pictures, frames, books and ephemera.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry. They're finally done and I'm very glad to see the end of them. I agree the bookcase wall hanging is pretty fun.
DeleteGreat idea to use up all those wee bits and pieces. Great links too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks - I'm happy to get them out of my stash and made into something useful.
Deletesomeone always needs another tote. Love your quote. I ran once and it was a lesson well learned. Now I stand tall.
ReplyDeletexx, Carol
Well I don't know if they need another tote but they're getting one anyway!
DeleteLove the bags. What a perfect way to use those scraps. Thanks for the links.....the carry-all tote looks interesting and very useful
ReplyDeleteI'm happy the scraps are used up - or at least a lot of them anyway.
DeleteReally nice bags - and you are being so creative and productive - good for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Quinn. I can't stand not having something to do so now the search is on for a new project - or several!
