Yesterday I finished the first advent calendar. It's hard to see all the embellishments I added from these photos...
Here's a closeup of part of it....
- I found a scroll through THESE was interesting. So many different variations!
- THESE would be fun to make for your fall decor.
- Have a look at the amazing creations of THIS artist!
- Not too sure what to think about THESE but they're interesting.
Today the quote is from Twyla Tharp...."Art is the only way to run away without leaving home"
Oh, this is so nice!ReplyDelete
Thanks Vicki - hopefully our littlest grandson will like it.Delete
Lovely additions--I can see that pretty gold star on the top left tree even in the smaller screen shot...ReplyDelete
This quilt will be a big hit I am sure...
I'm not so sure the calendar will be as much of a hit as what will end up being tucked into the pockets.Delete
If I increase the size of my pages I can see the embellishments you've added. So Pretty and such a lot of work. Your grandson will love it!ReplyDelete
Took me longer to make it than I would have thought. Of course it wouldn't have taken so long had I not wanted to add all the beads and embellishments!Delete
Your advent calendar is lovely!ReplyDelete
Thank you Judy - hope the little one likes it too!Delete
Your Grandson will absolutely love this Mary Anne and, it is always so lovely to have an Advent Calendar that can be refilled rather than one that has a lot to throw away each year! Christine xxReplyDelete
I must say I'm happy not to have to be the one that has to fill them!Delete
All the added beads and embellishments to this lovely advent calendar make this very special. Your grandson is going to have so much fun seeing the surprises each day gifts. A lovely finish Mary Anne.ReplyDelete
Not sure our grandsons will notice all the embellishing I did but I had fun doing them.Delete
The Advent calendar is so fun, Mary Anne. The embellishments really do make it sweet and special. I think your grandsons will notice them. :) And that link to the mixed art creations - some of those are really cool - one or two look like something I could, maybe, manage to do! Good inspiration.ReplyDelete
The advent calendars are indeed fun to make. I'm just glad I don't have the job of having to fill them every year!Delete
This one is great. It's a fun tradition too.ReplyDelete
I agree that it's a fun tradition - the kids will get a kick out of it I expect.Delete
I really don't see how you get the calendar done so quickly with all the embellishment. Great job.ReplyDelete
I guess I get things done fairly quickly because I spend altogether too many hours in my sewing space.Delete
