For lack of something else

Here's four more of the who-knows-what-they-will-become-stash-reduction-exercise.....

Three more drawers of fabric to wade through before I'm done.  Today has been one of those days where I did far too many errands and then ended up going out again and driving over twenty miles in order to get some canning lids/jars.  There are none to be had in this town (or at least anywhere I tried) and an online search yielded a precious few in a little town north of here.  Needless to say all these pit stops means not much done in the sewing room!

Today's quote..."A smart person knows what to say.  A wise person knows whether or not to say it"

    1. I liked that quote - lots to ponder with it. Glad you felt wise - sometimes those moments are hard to come by!

  2. I got 'LOST' in looking at your last link - quilters who are doing virtual teaching etc. Interesting. Thanks.

    1. An interesting line-up of teachers there for sure. Would be great for quilt guilds to pick up on because getting good teachers in person can be really costly. Don't know the prices for the online versions but surely they'd be cheaper than in person.

  4. It will be nice to have all those scraps sewed together so you will have room to fill up the scrap box again! LOL....seriously that is a really good idea....I think I will be bad and stick to the real chocolate instead...and I spent way too much time looking at free patterns...haha......Good quote.....with some good things to think about.

    1. Oh goodness - it's not A scrap box but several!!! I'm sticking to real chocolate too, but I suppose some people are allergic (poor things) so an artificial version might suit them.

    1. My scrap drawers were overflowing and didn't want to close properly so it was high time, to say nothing about the fact that I've probably had most of these fabrics in my stash for over 20 years.

  6. Got a lot of variety there with your who-knows-what-they-will-become pieces. I enjoyed the link to the chocolate creations. I can overindulge in these without any regret.

    1. I'm just happy to get the fabrics used up and out of my drawers. I've been shuffling through them for far too many years so it's beyond time I did something with them.

  7. Lots of people are complaining that they can't find canning jars. It makes me wonder if Covid closed the plants that make them or if so many are canning because store shelves are so sparsely stocked.

    1. I suspect most of the run on canning jars is because people are at home and they have time to can, plus many more people have planted gardens this year and are looking for ways to use the proceeds. I haven't heard anything about the virus closing any of the plants that produce them, but who's to say.

  8. Fun scrap fabric pieces. My Grandma crocheted a chocolate Oreo cookie and put a magnet on it to place on the frig. Oh to be Smart and Wise!

    1. I am one of the rare people that never has fridge magnets. That came about when our boys were small and insisted on slamming the fridge door and then all the magnets would end up on the floor. Of course you know who always had to pick them up! I grew to appreciate an unadorned fridge.
