The reason there's a holiday this weekend is often lost for so many people. I don't often discuss religion or politics on this blog but right now I feel it's important that I do. I believe in Jesus - I believe he gave his life for me - and during these current times I am more sure of that than ever. I'm grateful for the blessings He has given me.
Mask making is continuing here at Chez Magpie, as it is in so many places right now.
At Christmas #2 son and his family sent us a beautiful planter filled with many different succulents which I ultimately transplanted into their own individual pots. I was rewarded by this little flower....
This pile is waiting for the ties to be sewn on |
and this is the plant it came from...
You can also see a few of Resident Chef's tomato plants in the background |
Today's quote is from Mother Teresa..."I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much"
Stay safe. Stay well.
Lovely post, and this year's Easter is very different for a lot of us. Likewise Passover. Anyone, with or without religious beliefs, can take the opportunity to reconsider our lives and assumptions. A time of great fear is also a time of realizations. For a lot of people literally alone right now, it's a time of coming face to face with ourselves. You can also see it as an unfolding artwork, if that suits. I do.
ReplyDeleteWell said Liz! It is indeed a time of realizations - we must realize that our world as we've known it has changed. It's going to be up to us to determine in what way it will stay.
DeleteA thoughtful and lovely post MA. I like Boud's comment and your reply.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked the post - it's difficult to know how much of my beliefs I should share without becoming 'preachy'.

DeleteHe is risen indeed. A rock to hold onto in these uncertain times. That bird block is so cute. Thank you for finding it.
ReplyDeleteWe need some stability in our lives right now and He is it for many of us. Glad you liked the birdie block - I did too.

ReplyDeleteWe do have so much to be thankful for.
Yes we do Janie - and perhaps this Easter that has been so changed is what will remind us of that.
