Well folks - it's hardly worth bothering to stop for a visit at Chez Magpie.
Boring, boring, boring.
There's a growing pile of altered t-shirts
but you don't want to see that.
There's been some advancements on the family tree in Ancestry, but you don't want to see that.
There were big snowflakes falling from the sky last night,
but I KNOW you don't want to see that.
There's still no hot water,
but you REALLY don't want to know that.
Sigh.
Yep, boring.
OH - I took my sewing machine
apart and cleaned it!!
Oh right, boring.
The quote..."I'm not messy. I'm simply marking my territory with my craft supplies"
Stay safe. Stay well.
Not boring. These days, taking out the garbage is a high point. And a TRIP, to the mailbox, is a blogworthy event. Your post is action packed. Except I wish you had hot water action.
ReplyDeleteOh yes - taking out the garbage and getting the mail - HUGE excitement! Despite the fact that we get all geared up with our Eau de Poop bags on our hands before setting out. There are mysterious thumping noises from above us so maybe there's something happening on the hot water front. Fingers crossed!
DeleteLOL! Quote and dog photo are adorable,
ReplyDeleteThe double duty mat is fantastic. I can use one at my craft table, and the easel.
Reading your blog is never boring.
I thought that dog photo perfectly depicted boredom so glad you enjoyed it. And thank you for saying my blog is never boring!
DeleteI am so sorry you've been without hot water for so long! That would be a serious challenge - and so discouraging. Thank you for posting today. I want to thank you for linking to that sweet little baby blanket. It puts me in mind of a few projects I've considered making and, better yet - I think I have all the yarn I'd need. I'm needing to get back into the crafting saddle.
ReplyDeleteI had you in mind when I saw that baby blanket - thought you might like that pattern. As for the hot water issue - there are mysterious noises from up above so that could mean they're doing something....maybe, just maybe.
DeleteI really like that pincushion. Very handy gift for a sewer.
DeleteI don't suppose I'll ever make that pincushion but it IS pretty. And you're right - it would make a perfect gift.
DeleteLots of nothing going on here! It's hard to focus. No alarm clocks, but still wake up way too early. Thanks for the links. regarding the sewing machine mat with pockets: to me that would get in the way of sitting and sewing. Not practical to my way of thinking. take care. (I'm late, as usual, reading posts)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing about that mat, but maybe someone will like the idea and want to make one. I know it won't work for my set up, but for someone who goes to workshops and has to tote their machine it might be handy.
DeleteYesterday, I was excited about daughter phoning to see if I needed anything at the supermarket! Fruit was high on my list.
ReplyDeleteOh yes grocery stores are highlights in our lives right now, despite the worry of picking up the virus while we're there.
DeleteHahaha just a great doggy photo...I do miss our Kota a whole lot...she of the wonderful temperament and sweet disposition...my grand-doggy baby.
ReplyDeleteAnyway--I survived the grocery store today--so far anyway...that thermometer is not far away between Thom's cough and my going out there...;000
Stay safe and hang in there kiddo...~ ~ ~ Julierose
I loved that photo too - absolutely couldn't resist sharing it. Glad you survived the trip to the store. I don't know which is worse...the concern about picking up the virus or having to get up at dark-thirty in the morning to be there for seniors hour!
DeleteYou could never be boring, dear Mary Anne. =) Yikes, no hot water and it's snowing outside.....that sounds awful!
ReplyDeleteOh but I bore myself!! If I don't soon get this clothing alteration gig over with I'm going to crawl into a hole. Yawn.
DeleteHeehee, sometimes such days are really valuable as those are all things you won't have to deal with on one of those busy days.
ReplyDeleteI've had more than enough of those boring days the past week and if I don't soon pick up a needle and threads in a fun way, I might have to go out and find some chocolate.
DeleteThanks for the crochet pattern link! That's a really cute blanket. I really hope you get hot water back SOON!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the blanket pattern. I thought it was one that could be made in a multitude of sizes. And yes, we're really hoping for hot water!!
DeleteMary Anne, never close your Blog. You bring happiness to one and all and that's beside all the great links,Quotes,tongue-in-cheek remarks and photos... just have to love that dog. I hope you'll be in hot water soon...in the very Best way of course.
ReplyDeleteOh I don't plan to close my blog because I'm having too much fun mumbling about nothing. Never ceases to astound me that people keep coming back to read about nothing. Don't know what that says about people (both me and them!). Hot water - bring it on!
DeleteGood for you to clean your machine after sewing so many masks. I like the sewing machine mat under that super cute Elna. My sewing/craft space looks like I am marking my territory! Happy Spring Dear.
ReplyDeleteMy machine was giving me grief with the stitches on knit fabrics so I thought cleaning it might be all it needed. It did need cleaning, but it still isn't happy with sewing knits. It doesn't seem to have a problem with anything else (at least so far). And I seem to mark my territory every day!
DeleteYup, in a slump here also. Keep your chin up.
ReplyDeleteI'm not exactly in a slump - just not doing anything that's worth sharing, or the least bit interesting to anybody else.
