Some progress

There has been a small amount of progress on the latest landscape which I rather doubt is going to be too obvious in the photo....but....because I have nothing else to show you, this will have to do!

The wall on the right side looks wobbly here,
but it IS straight!

    1. Thank you Christine - there's a ways to go before I can call it done!

  2. Haha....love that quote. I think it resonates with all us crafters. Isn't it funny how photos sometimes trick the eye. Your landscape is looking great, Mary Anne.

    1. I laughed when I read that quote and couldn't resist sharing it. We can all identify with it I suspect.

  3. Good morning Mary Anne (it is morning here in the UK!)
I think the reason your new fabric picture 'looks' wobbly is because the 'downpipe' (if that's what it is) on the corner of the building is straight down in the photograph, whereas the bend in yours is making it look wobbly - if you see what I mean!!
I think it's incredible, how you achieve your fabric pictures. I'm still trying to do my first picture, and, it is possible that I'm trying too hard to make it look real - it is fabric, after all, but I'm now making it my goal to get it done, so wish me luck!!

    1. Of course I wish you luck Val! I hope you will share pictures when you're done??? I figured out what the problem was with my photo - it would help tremendously if I remembered to smooth out the fabric before taking any pictures!!

    1. I think I might be allergic to lavender too - would go along with my allergies to trees I suppose. As for the quote - I choose to laugh!

    1. Thanks Karen. Even though it looks wonky in this photo - it really is straight. Would have helped when I took the photo had I remembered to smooth out the fabric!

  6. Looks significant to me! I can now peek inside the house - if I could only get close enough. I hope it doesn't make me sound weird that that is the first thing that came to mind... A favorite aunt took me exploring an old house once when I was a little girl. It was a real adventure to me. And I thought she was so brave. And clever to think to do it. Now people make videos of doing this! If Auntie lived today I betcha she'd have a Youtube channel and she'd take us on some fun adventures.

    1. It's no wonder she was your favourite aunt! What a wonderful adventure for a little girl. I must admit that I spend time while I'm working on these landscapes wondering about the life that happened there. Rather a romantic notion I suppose, but wouldn't you love to know the stories.
