A virtual quilt show

This past weekend was our local quilt show and I managed to remember to take pictures of some of my favourites from the show.  So...this week I will take you on a little tour along with me!  First I will share the quilt and below will be the credits.  Enjoy! (you may click to embiggen all the photos so you can see more details).

This shows the raffle quilt along with a glimpse
of one of my landscapes which was also one
of the raffle prizes...

and now, to the show itself....

Today's quote is from Dr. Seuss...."The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go"

  1. Mary Anne Dear your raffle prize landscape offering is very lovely and generous. I do hope your quilt show was successful. Gorgeous quilts created by very talented people. I am not surprised that none shown were for sale. Dr. Seuss is very wise! Blessings...

    1. Stay tuned because there are more quilts to see! Very few quilts on display were for sale (mine being one exception). Not a place where one normally is successful at selling - most people go to see the quilts and not to buy them - they're more interested in spending their money at the vendor booths so they can go home and make their own.

  2. Did your barn bring in nice $$ for the guild? Very nice prize for someone.

    1. There were a number of prizes for the raffle (maybe 5 different things) and one ticket bought you a chance to win any one of them. Won't know the sales numbers until our next meeting....nor will we know who won any of them.

  3. Quilt shows are fun, thanks for sharing photos from your local quilt guild show, nice quilts.
And the 'Loved and Found' idea is wonderful, say yes to kindness.

    1. I love seeing all the variety in the quilts - as well as the color combinations throughout. Some I like, some I'm afraid not so much, but that's okay. More quilts coming on Wednesday!

  6. Some lovely quilts there, Mary Anne. I always love wandering through a quilt show. I love that blue and white beauty. How kind of you to off one of your beautiful landscapes for a prize. It is always a good to thing to take on board some of Dr Seuss's wisdom.

    1. The blue & white one was one of my definite favourites too...not that I *happen* to like blue or anything of the sort! Hope the lady that won the landscape is happy with it.

  11. Beautiful quilts! At least you are on top and things and got them posted. Our guild show was back in March and I've yet to show them off.

    1. On top of things? Moi??? Hardly!! I just thought my readers might enjoy something different than watching me build yet another landscape.

    1. I'm not a 'sane' quilter but I can certainly admire the ones that others make. There weren't a ton of people around so I was able to get pictures of a lot of them.

  13. How wonderful to make a cyber visit to your quilt show. Some real beauties. And the barn you donated to the raffle is lovely. I had to go look through your barn posts to take a closer-up look at it. I hadn't found you when made that one. Are you, by chance, the Mary who quilted some of these beauties? Okay... since I'm late checking in this week I'm now going to check out Wednesday's pictures.

    1. Nope, I'm not the quilting Mary - much too much boredom in that process for me to ever think about doing! To say nothing about not having the space for that sort of thing. I'll stick to my wall hangings!

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
