  1. That's really interesting, Mary Anne. It gives me the feel that I'm looking at a snapshot. Or through a view-finder on the camera. Clever! And that edging? It sure looks taupe-ish to me. On my screen, anyway. That was exactly what I was picturing when I left my comment to the previous post. There are a lot of different versions of taupe. I think you nailed it (as far as I'm concerned) with the color you chose. Another gorgeous work of art!

    1. It looks taupe on your screen? Wow - because it most definitely is a reddish-orange in real life (and on my screen). Thanks for the kind words Becki!

    2. No...I mean the outer edge looks taupe to me. The orange strip is the same orange on my computer screen. It was never my thought that you'd remove the orange, but instead of that blue shiny fabric you had used and showed in a previous post, I thought a taupe/brown might look nice. Looking at the picture above again, though, I'm thinking maybe you didn't frame it on the outer edge. Is that just sitting on a "taupe-ish" colored surface? I thought that was a final frame! lol Oh brother. I can see why you are questioning my screen. And probably my eyes! It looks wonderful, Mary-Anne.

    3. AHA! Now I know what you meant - actually that is the carpet on our floor! Obviously should have cropped the picture better! Or, better yet, remembered to put it onto something that wouldn't show. Never did say my skills at photography were up to much.

  4. Congratulations on your finish, wonderful interpretation. And the link for making your own stitch markers is a great idea, so useful.

  6. I just got back in town from a vacation in Colorado to visit my brother. No internet. But now that I’m back, I HAVE to comment on this beautiful finish. That orange (or red-orange) inner border is perfect! So lovely with the scene continuing beyond it. I know I say this a lot, but this is one of my very favorites of yours! And next time I visit my brother’s place (very rural) we hope to get out more to take some picturesque photos that would be right up your alley! But all it did this time was rain...

    1. Thanks Cathy. So sorry it rained while you were away. There seems to be a lot of that this year (at least so far!). We count ourselves lucky if we get an entire day without rain.
