What is a grandmother to do?

Yes, what IS a grandmother to do when there's a special request extended to make our youngest grandson a special blanket?  A shark blanket, no less!

This guy is in the process of swimming his way out to BC (via courier, NOT the miserable striking Canada Post!!).  The pattern can be found HERE, made in the toddler size.  Although, if I had to do it again I'd be almost tempted to make the adult size, just so there's a bit more room to wrap up in it.

Today's quote is from Emmet Fox..."It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble; how hopeless the outlook; how muddled the tangle; how great the mistake.  A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.  If only you could love enough you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the world"

  7. I love, love, love your shark blankie, it is totally the best way to come across a shark .... we are having a massive problem with sharks attacks in Australia at the moment. All those fun finds to decorate your christmas tree you are clever with all that you find and do!
    Happy Thanksgiving.

    1. Yes, a crocheted shark is FAR better than meeting up with the real thing. One of the reasons I would never so much as stick a foot in the ocean!

  8. Great Shark!! Kids I know that have them LOVE them. Your link to those beaded ornaments brought back 1970s memories when I made them, though not as elaborate as those.
    Have a great day.

Great links, but I especially love the cross stitch sampler pincushion box! I love that style of cross stitch ..... and what a great way to keep those pins safe!

    1. The courier was supposed to deliver it yesterday but now it won't get there until Monday so I'll have to wait awhile longer to see if he likes it.

  12. Your postal service in striking now? A month before Christmas?? Bet that won't garner them much goodwill.
