I'm back to working on the final block for the courtship series and here are a few more seam treatments from that one...
This one is done entirely with straight stitches, with the addition of beads (or you could use French Knots).
Straight stitches (black); lazy daisies (green); silk ribbon flowers (red); and rice beads (blue).
As always, please feel free to use any of my designs in your own work. I would love to see what you do with them!
- THIS is a different type of cast on for knitting. And HERE is a great article on easier ways to frog your knitting; not, of course, that we EVER feel the need to actually do it! And HERE is a great article on picking up stitches. I especially like the crochet hook variation - I don't know about you but I have a really hard time trying to use a knitting needle.
- If you have some feltable yarn scraps in your stash, perhaps you might want to make one of THESE. And HERE is a cute little project to use up scraps of yarn.
- There's a beautiful baby sweater pattern HERE. I'd love to try making this one!
Today your quote is from an unknown source..."Good things come to those who believe; better things come to those who are patient and the best things come to those who don't give up"
Beautiful seam treatments, Mary Ann, and that baby sweater is so adorable, especially on thatReplyDelete
Good quote too, thanks for sharing.
Lovely seam treatments. How quickly you have worked into your seventh block. Great links and I always enjoy viewing them even if I am not going to actually make them. Fun quote today.ReplyDelete
