In the beginning...

Yes, I'm in the beginning stages of a new landscape but nothing worth showing you as yet.  So...another pair of socks came off my needles and are heading for the Christmas box...

Usual pattern using Paton's Kroy yarn.

- I came across THIS listing and it reminded me of doing this type of craft probably back in the 60's.  Wonder if it will enjoy a resurgence?

- Have a peek through the galleries of THIS artist!

- Although there are no instructions to make any of THESE I really enjoyed the breath of spring I felt while I looked through them.  Perhaps you could use some of the pictures for inspiration.

- THIS looks like it would be a fun process...albeit probably a tad messy! Has me wondering how it would work on fabric.

Today's quote is from Reba McEntire..."To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone"

  1. Oh, yes -- smocked gingham! I made two popover tops (smocks, I guess) when I was in college. One for me and one for my friend Sharon. Thanks for the memory!

    1. I made pillow covers for everyone on my Christmas list that year and I think I made some aprons too.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
