Here is the landscape as it stands right now - quilting is underway and once that is done I can start adding more details.
Sorry about the horrible photo - my photo program simply would not allow me to do anything with the image. Actually the whole computer is acting up so not sure if it's at fault or if there's something else going on.- THIS is an interesting article about the benefits of being creative. Although it uses quilting as the 'base', you can easily substitute knitting/crocheting/weaving/painting or whatever else you choose to pursue.
- If you are (or know of) a fan of Harry Potter, perhaps THIS might intrigue you.
- THIS is a really nice bag that would serve so many uses.
- Have a peek through the galleries of THIS artist!
Today's quote...

I think most crafters/artists/artisans/creatives appreciate the personal benefits of time devoted to their endeavors. Back when I had "real" jobs I often used knitting as a transition from my long workdays to all-my-chores-are-done time. Everything slowed down, cats and Piper near at hand, a beverage and sometimes an audiobook. Even just a half hour was good for me, and sometimes it stretched - like the length of my socks - into hours.
ReplyDeleteI agree Quinn. If I have a day where I haven't been able to fit in anything creative my mindset suffers. I think creativity is necessary to our brains and well being.
DeleteYour landscape is really coming to "life", Mary Ann ;))) I love the stitching you've done on this already...lovely work...
ReplyDeletehugs, Julierose
I'm certainly having fun creating this one because it feels so personal.
