Yay!

One dress - done and dusted!

And....
The Resident Chef appeared in my
sewing room to show me this...

This is a pie-sized butter tart,
due to be gifted to our friend
(who loves the RC's butter tarts)
when we see him tomorrow.
Wonder if he'll eat it all at one sitting?

- Have a peek through the galleries of THIS artist!

- THESE are so pretty and use simple ingredients to create.

- There are lots of free patterns to choose from HERE.

- THIS would be a fun project.

Today's quote...

  1. The dress came out lovely! Worth the effort, I'd say. No set-in sleeves, good idea.

    1. When I saw a pattern without set in sleeves I thought it would be a whole lot easier to create. I still managed to mess it up but at least I didn't have to fuss with gathering sleeves in to fit.

  2. The dress is charming! (Thinking abou short sleeves brings a shiver--it's chilly today.) Thanks for the links!

    1. Nope, no sampling of that tart and that's perfectly okay with me because I find them a little too sweet.
As for the skirt border I bought a border print and cut it to fit.

    1. The RC decided to play a bit of a joke on our friend with the giant butter tart. I think it was appreciated.

Sherryofcreateology: That is a very sweet dress. Your struggles do not show at all. I always seem to have lots of WIPs…Waiting in Piles surrounding me. I really must learn to FOCUS. But alas I merely love everything and want to do it all. XOXO

    1. I'm with you Sherry in wanting to do it all! I never seem to have a shortage of landscape ideas floating around in my brain (you'd think, after doing over 70 of them that I'd be tired of the process.

  9. That dress is too cute. I love the border on the skirt. And I've never heard of a butter tart, but imagining it, I'm thinking it's probably very tasty. Luck friend! :)

    1. Butter tarts seem to be a Canadian thing - I think? They're a little too sweet for me so I don't have one very often.
The border on the skirt was part of a panel that I cut to fit.
