A little tutorial?

A tutorial....of sorts (who knew?!)

I use this toe pattern for all the socks I do and you end up with a nicely rounded toe.  I was writing the 'structions out for someone and thought perhaps some of you who are sock knitters might like to give it a try.

Row 1:  K6, K2 tog, place marker(s).
Rows 2 & 3: Knit even.
Row 4: K5, K 2 tog
Rows 5 & 6 :  Knit even
Row 7:  K4, K 2 tog
Rows 8 & 9:  K even
Row 10:  K3, K2 tog
Rows 11 & 12:  K even
Row 13: K2, K2 tog
Rows 14 & 15:  K even
Row 16: K 1; K2 tog
Row 17 & 18:  K even
Row 19:  K2 tog and then sew the stitches together.

- THESE are really cute, especially the Hello Spring project.

- Of course THIS caught my eye!

- THESE are cute and something to perhaps have on hand as your garden starts to grow.

- Have a peek through the creation galleries of THIS artist!

Today's quote is from Alison Faulkner....  "Enough is a decision, not an amount"

  1. I don't have a printer but I like the idea of making pretty seed packets. I've just gone through all my seeds for 2026 and my jumble of various crumpled envelopes is not very attractive.

    1. I expect likely most people have the exact same storage system!

  2. My seeds are in various envelopes or just wrapped in paper. I'm very low tech in the seed department.

    1. The few tomato seeds we have are in old pill bottles - whatever works!

  4. Okay, Mary Anne... I printed those instructions out, made note from whence it came, and am putting it in my collection of knitting patterns - JUST in case I ever get up the gumption to try sock knitting again. I wish I was a sock knitter, but I'm impatient with the process of becoming one. ;^)

    1. I never thought I'd be a sock knitter either,. but once I found the pattern I use now I discovered I like making them.

  5. I have copied your instructions and if I ever move on from two needle flat socks I will certainly try this.

    God bless.

    1. It's an easy way to do the toe and I like that it ends up being rounded rather than pointy.

Sherryofcreateology: I love your new landscape with the older couple walking arm in arm. Thank you for your “Toe Tutorial”. However I am not good at knitting. Great quote today. Blessings Dear…

    1. I really like that image of the older couple too so couldn't resist working with it.
