Here is the landscape as it stands right now - quilting is underway and once that is done I can start adding more details.
Sorry about the horrible photo - my photo program simply would not allow me to do anything with the image. Actually the whole computer is acting up so not sure if it's at fault or if there's something else going on.- THIS is an interesting article about the benefits of being creative. Although it uses quilting as the 'base', you can easily substitute knitting/crocheting/weaving/painting or whatever else you choose to pursue.
- If you are (or know of) a fan of Harry Potter, perhaps THIS might intrigue you.
- THIS is a really nice bag that would serve so many uses.
- Have a peek through the galleries of THIS artist!
Today's quote...

I think most crafters/artists/artisans/creatives appreciate the personal benefits of time devoted to their endeavors. Back when I had "real" jobs I often used knitting as a transition from my long workdays to all-my-chores-are-done time. Everything slowed down, cats and Piper near at hand, a beverage and sometimes an audiobook. Even just a half hour was good for me, and sometimes it stretched - like the length of my socks - into hours.
ReplyDeleteI agree Quinn. If I have a day where I haven't been able to fit in anything creative my mindset suffers. I think creativity is necessary to our brains and well being.
DeleteYour landscape is really coming to "life", Mary Ann ;))) I love the stitching you've done on this already...lovely work...
ReplyDeletehugs, Julierose
I'm certainly having fun creating this one because it feels so personal.
DeleteIt is looking beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. It's a terrible picture, but I hope the general idea comes across.
DeleteLove what you are doing with the landscape. I am having trouble even uploading pictures to Blogger. I am not sure what is going on but trying to get a picture from my gallery on my phone is not working at all. I need to email it to me, save it to the cloud and then hold my finger to the side of my nose and try and get them to transfer over to gallery or the picture files. I am hoping that it is just a small glitch, but am going to try with our old digital camera and see what happens.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Pictures were giving me fits yesterday but today they seem to have sorted (fingers crossed!). Hope you get your issue figured out.
Deletewhat a sweet couple these two are.
ReplyDeleteThey make me think of the RC and I - on our way to the coffee shop (something we do far too often).
DeleteThe quilt is heart warming. Lovely work
ReplyDeleteMay
Thank you May!
DeleteYour wallhanging is looking good - such a beautiful scene... And thank you for sharing that quote, perfect for how I am feeling right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jillayne - this one has been extra fun to work on.
DeleteI love the old couple going to the coffee shop, so sweet. Looking forward to see what you're doing next.
ReplyDeleteThey remind me so much of the RC and me, so it was a no-brainer to attempt to create them. It was the RC's suggestion to include the coffee shop.
DeleteOh, that's looking good!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki - I'm having fun with it.
DeleteMy comment hasn't appeared. I wonder if blogger ate it?
ReplyDeleteBog-grrrrr must indeed have had a tasty snack because I went and checked to be sure I didn't overlook approving it and there's nothing there.
DeleteOoooh... going for coffee. Fun.
ReplyDeleteThe coffee shop was the RC's idea so I had to go with it.
