I don't know if it's possible to have too much fun, but I can say I did while I was working on that previous landscape....so....I started another one (of course I did, would you expect anything else?). Here's the beginning....
- THIS is a fun project that is no-calorie!!
- Have a peek through the gallery of THIS artist.
- Some of you might find THIS of interest.
- If you like crazy quilting and embroidery, perhaps THIS interview might interest you.
Today's quote is from Aristotle..."It is also in the interests of the tyrant to make his subjects poor - the people are so occupied with their daily tasks that they have no time for plotting"
Aristotle knew his stuff. And of course there's a new landscape in the works! You're all warmed up now.
ReplyDeleteHah - warmed up in more ways than one!
DeleteLovely start to your latest landscape work!! I will be looking forward to seeing how this comes together...:)))
ReplyDeletehugs for a good weekend Julierose
I'm having fun with this one too. Good weekend to you too!
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!
DeleteYou're obviously having fun on that one already!
ReplyDeleteFor sure!
DeleteYou're really getting good at it when you're having so much fun. This looks great.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed every landscape I've done and can't see quitting anytime soon. There's too many great vistas out there to try to recreate.
DeleteI really enjoy seeing you create these lovely landscapes. You are truly a fiber artist.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
awww - thank you Jackie! Very kind of you to say.
DeleteSherryofcreateology: Is there a group for Quilted Landscapes?…just in case you need an intervention? Your newest looks very interesting. You my friend are quite the enabler for me. I really liked what Jenny Clouston creates. I am still learning my watercolor journey and enjoying it. I just never seem to have enough time…same old story. Happy Weekend…
ReplyDeleteI'm with you in never having enough time for the things we enjoy. And yes, there SHOULD be a 12-step group!
DeleteOh, that's pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki
DeleteSonya Prchal's work is just amazing! Even the work of her students is amazing!
ReplyDeleteYes, I would love to be her when I grow up!
DeleteOoooh snow! Looks like the perfect thing to stitch in this hot weather - at least it's hot down here in Indiana.
ReplyDeleteHot here too so looking at snow is probably a good thing.
