- I came across THIS resource that some of you might like to explore. I know it's not craft-oriented but there are tons of topics that might be interesting.
- Have a peek through the creations of THIS artist.
- And THIS one too!
- Or, how about THIS one?
- And, just because you never quite know what I'll find of interest, how about THIS?
Today's quote is by Friedrich Nietzsche..."And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music"
Lovely finish on your Landscape;)) Nice work! We are having a spate of rain weather here...gray days--hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWe had good weather for our trip but it sounds as though our family is going to get rained on big time this week...we timed it right!
DeleteThank you - glad you like the landscape.
So true, that quotation. It hasn't taken long to complete the latest landscape. The hexies work so well.
ReplyDeleteI was more than happy to find a use for the leftover hexies and had just enough in the right colours to do what I needed.
DeleteLike a wine, your pieces keep improving over time. Superior work!
ReplyDeleteAwwww - thank you!!!
DeleteSo pretty! I love the hexies as the ground.
ReplyDeleteGood use for something that was left over from another project.
DeleteAlone in the prairie is an amazing work of art. Wow!
ReplyDeleteThank you - glad you like it!
DeleteVery nice, love the old truck!
ReplyDeleteGreat links, some amazing artwork there
I love the old truck too - it certainly spoke to me. Glad you enjoyed the links!
DeleteLovely work, and you completed it very quickly. Glad to hear that you had lovely weather for your holiday trip to visit family.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Yes, the weather certainly was in our favour for our trip and must say I'm glad we're not there now because of all the rain they're getting.
DeleteYour "All Alone In The Prairies" is beautiful, Mary Anne. You really captured that truck in your fabric and stitching, and the embroidered flowers are wonderfully sweet. Your blue sky really makes your landscape pop!
ReplyDeleteI simply can't resist adding embroidered flowers to the landscapes I do - probably a throwback to being a crazy quilter for so long.
DeleteWonderful work.
ReplyDeleteAlways helps when I have good subject matter to work from!
DeleteSherry of createology: “All Alone in the Prairie” is so wonderfully created by you dear. So many creative artists in your links. I am intrigued by the broken dishes. Interesting quote…I always hear the music and begin dancing!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry. Must say the broken dishes were definitely interesting. Good use for what we would normally throw away.
DeleteA fabulous finish, I love the added flowers.
ReplyDeleteI like adding flowers and don't feel that a landscape feels 'finished' without them.
DeleteStill trying to catch up with your posts - glad you had a nice visit with the littles and their parents. I love the way you've extended the design beyond the borders on this one putting your vision into it. i've seen those tulle embroideries before and continually marvel at them. I wonder how those beads are so finely attached - the ones that are not directly on the subject but just flying around them. Makes me want to see the other side for reference. You always find the coolest things.
ReplyDeleteWe did have a great time and miss them tremendously.
DeleteGlad you like my 'finds'!
