ssshhhhhh - don't tell Resident Chef!!

Yes, don't tell Resident Chef that I'm cheating on him.  Rumour has it that I'm running around with a handsome guy named Fergus.  We're trying to keep our affair quiet but it seems that the news has leaked out anyway.  Fergus is a pretty sharp dude - long and thin - so it's understandable that I would fall for his debonair good looks.  He's comfortable in his own skin too and doesn't hesitate to step out wearing purple and pink.  He's a very hands on sort of fellow too.

Meet Fergus Frogit - the love of my life

He and I have been up close and personal resulting in this pile of reverse-sewn hexies....

There are 12 of each colour, plus I have more yet to be massaged by Fergus.

And - I've started what will be 18 hexie flowers that look like these (they'll all be surrounded with green hexies eventually)...

Sorry about the picture quality - yet another dull day here.  And yes, I see that the second green from the right in the bottom row doesn't 'go' despite it being in the bundle I won.

- HERE is a cute little project that would be nice for Valentine's Day.

- THIS made me laugh.

- THIS is a different method for felting that some of you might find interesting.

- HERE are some fun ideas for repurposing doilies.

Today's quote, wonderfully presented by Daffy Duck...

  2. Fergus didn't know how good he would have it getting all that love from you. But think of what life would be without him/it. There are just some tools that really do make a difference. I was just using mine to remove some doilies that I had used to decorate some clothing years ago. The collars were yellow but the embellishments were fine and I just couldn't see throwing them out. Your link today gives me some ideas. Have a wonderful weekend.

  5. I hate to break it to you, Mary Anne, but I've met Fergus Frogit. And we've had a few go-'rounds too. He's pretty sharp!

And your hexi plan looks like it will be a winner! :)

  6. I hope you've had some good movies to watch while you are Gergus are working away.

    1. Hmmm - don't think watching movies would be a great idea whilst Fergus and I are 'involved'....methinks it would be to the detriment of both the fabric AND my fingers. There's mood music on in the background though, which is good.

    1. Tory certainly shot himself in the foot didn't he. Maybe he should have read Daffy's advice!

  8. That felting of large pieces looks tantalizingly do-able! Not sure why it's "prefelt" though - looks like "felt" to me? I'll have to reread the post again later.

Sherry of createology: Hello MA. Hope you are having sunshine. You and Fergus are quite the team. I had no idea you would frog all of your hedges and begin again. Love the Doily ideas. Daffy Duck is so right.

    1. I know - I'm a glutton for punishment but I'm determined to do 'something' with those hexies and they've been hanging around long enough.
