Yes, don't tell Resident Chef that I'm cheating on him. Rumour has it that I'm running around with a handsome guy named Fergus. We're trying to keep our affair quiet but it seems that the news has leaked out anyway. Fergus is a pretty sharp dude - long and thin - so it's understandable that I would fall for his debonair good looks. He's comfortable in his own skin too and doesn't hesitate to step out wearing purple and pink. He's a very hands on sort of fellow too.
Meet Fergus Frogit - the love of my life
He and I have been up close and personal resulting in this pile of reverse-sewn hexies....
There are 12 of each colour, plus I have more yet to be massaged by Fergus.
And - I've started what will be 18 hexie flowers that look like these (they'll all be surrounded with green hexies eventually)...
Sorry about the picture quality - yet another dull day here. And yes, I see that the second green from the right in the bottom row doesn't 'go' despite it being in the bundle I won.
- HERE is a cute little project that would be nice for Valentine's Day.
- THIS made me laugh.
- THIS is a different method for felting that some of you might find interesting.
- HERE are some fun ideas for repurposing doilies.
Today's quote, wonderfully presented by Daffy Duck...
Yes, the pin joke is very good! Thanks for finding such a range of sites and suggesting why you did. I always look forward to seeing what you're up to.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what I'm up to too - never a dull moment here at Chez Magpie!
DeleteFergus didn't know how good he would have it getting all that love from you. But think of what life would be without him/it. There are just some tools that really do make a difference. I was just using mine to remove some doilies that I had used to decorate some clothing years ago. The collars were yellow but the embellishments were fine and I just couldn't see throwing them out. Your link today gives me some ideas. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes I can't possibly live without my Fergus!
DeleteHey Chef!
ReplyDelete🤣
Boo hiss!
DeleteThere are days the Samantha and I are excellent friends as well.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Glad you and Fergus are having so much fun! Have a great weekend! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteOne thing about Fergus - he's a demanding sort!
DeleteI hate to break it to you, Mary Anne, but I've met Fergus Frogit. And we've had a few go-'rounds too. He's pretty sharp!
ReplyDeleteAnd your hexi plan looks like it will be a winner! :)
You mean Fergus has been two-timing me? Of all the nerve! I might just have to break up with him.
DeleteI hope you've had some good movies to watch while you are Gergus are working away.
ReplyDeleteHmmm - don't think watching movies would be a great idea whilst Fergus and I are 'involved'....methinks it would be to the detriment of both the fabric AND my fingers. There's mood music on in the background though, which is good.
Deletethat was funny!! Reminds me of all the carry on with John Tory, Toronto's Mayor!!
ReplyDeleteTory certainly shot himself in the foot didn't he. Maybe he should have read Daffy's advice!
DeleteThat felting of large pieces looks tantalizingly do-able! Not sure why it's "prefelt" though - looks like "felt" to me? I'll have to reread the post again later.
ReplyDeleteHello Magpie: Oh my Fergus be very careful, but loving, do not poke a finger and rip kindly.
ReplyDeleteI like your quilt colors lovely.
I am an abuser of stupidity, I need stupidity anonymous badly, giggles.
Catherine
So Fergus has been a perfect gentleman.
DeleteStupidity Anonymous - ha ha - lots of people need it!!!
Sherry of createology: Hello MA. Hope you are having sunshine. You and Fergus are quite the team. I had no idea you would frog all of your hedges and begin again. Love the Doily ideas. Daffy Duck is so right.
ReplyDeleteI know - I'm a glutton for punishment but I'm determined to do 'something' with those hexies and they've been hanging around long enough.
DeleteHaha! But Fergus doesn't cook so DH doesn't need to worry :) xx
ReplyDeleteYes, after 43 years I think I'll keep the Resident Chef!
