A finish - sort of, but not quite

I finished the cross stitching and the details on the 4th (and last!) house ornament.  Now I only (!) have one more chef and two nutcracker ornies left to do and then the dreaded putting them together.  Definitely not looking forward to that part of the process.

- If you are an artist (or perhaps a gardener?) you might like to make yourself one of THESE.

- Because we're going into summer here and the temperatures are going up, maybe some of you might like to make yourself some of THESE.

- I like THIS too, but not sure my sewing abilities would translate to making it fit.

- For those of you experiencing issues with leaving comments on Blog-grrrrr, perhaps trying the solution Barb posted about HERE (scroll down to the bottom of her post)  will work for you.  And there's another post HERE that addresses the same issue.

Today's quote..."Nothing should go back to normal.  Normal wasn't working.  If we go back to the way things were, we will have lost the lesson.  May we rise up and do better"

  1. Blogger keeps moving the goalposts! What works now won't work soon.. I agree about "getting back" to anything. Life is about forward movement. Resisting just makes people unhappier than ever. Every day is our new normal.

    1. I guess blog-grrr just wants to keep us on our toes. One wonders if they're planning to shut it down at some point - or if they're going to want us to pay for it.
And yes, life is about going forward and trying to learn from our mistakes.

  3. The backstitching really did bring the ornament.

Hopefully blogger won't be asking us to pay or shut down.

    God bless.

    1. I always am surprised at how backstitching and adding other little details will bring a cross stitch to life.

    1. Just realized that people might be thinking the cross stitch ornament is two when, in fact, it's only one. Hard to get a decent photo without dividing it.

    1. It's going to be awhile before I get around to putting it together because I want to do three more ornaments and then have a 'bee' doing the final assembly.

    1. How true - and sometimes it seems it moves a whole lot more than we anticipate
