Over the weekend I finished the main part of the stitching on the first cross stitch ornament. I'm waiting on a delivery of some special Kreinik thread to make a garland around the door and windows to completely finish it. Then I have to assemble it into a house. Ornament #2 (the toy shop) has been started.
- No doubt most of you have heard the quote from the lady in the Ukraine and when I came across THIS design I thought I should share it.
- THIS is a great way to recycle a flannel shirt!
- And THIS would be a fun use for some recycled denim.

Today's quote..."Never be afraid to do something new. Remember, amateurs built the Ark; professionals built the Titanic"
Super quote for the day;))) [beginner's luck?--maybe?] Love your little house...it will be so pretty put together...ReplyDelete
beautiful work on this hugs, Julierose
Thanks Julierose. I doubt the ark was beginners luck exactly - not with God lending a helping hand.Delete
The ornament is going to be wonderful when done just based on what you have already! Thank you for the links today. I've shared the sunflower one.ReplyDelete
I love the ornament so far and am hopeful that my finishing skills will be up to the challenge.Delete
Oooh... that little Christmas stitch is adorable. Changing out the colors on the truck worked beautifully!ReplyDelete
Love the quote!
Changing the colours on the truck just (hopefully!) made it a little more feminine....at least such was the idea I had.Delete
Printed out the pattern of Sunflowers and will try and get it done very soon. Thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
Glad you would like to create it - there's lots of amazing sunflower designs popping up all over.Delete
Such a sweet stitchery dear. I feel so very terrible about the Ukraine people. They did nothing to invoke this horrible war. I am praying for their safety and for the war to end very soon.ReplyDelete
Good thing we have our creative things to help take our minds off the horrible things happening elsewhere in the world.Delete
You have my interest piqued with how your needle work will turn out.ReplyDelete
I'm awaiting a delivery of the special thread I need to finish it. Must admit I'm anxious to see how it turns out too!Delete
Can't wait to see the ornament assembled Mary Anne. Love the quote today. Christine xxReplyDelete
Not sure how well I will be able to put it together but it's going to be fun to see what happens!Delete
