Yep, I'm falling down on the job! Only one little stitchery to show you today.  Another of my 'cobbled together' from, in this case, 3 different patterns.

In my defense, we made a trip in quest of new pillows for our bed yesterday and that seriously cut into my sewing time.  Somehow the car managed to find its way to Costco as well as Fabricland.  There is a great need for appropriate buttons for three little grandson sweaters that are being undertaken, as well as maybe some suitable for a wee girl too.  Oddly enough, despite my massive collection of buttons I don't have enough of any  that will work for sweaters.  Who knew!!  There just *might* have been a couple of packages of bias tape and some coordinating bits of fabric that got into the car somehow.  Funny how that happens.

Today's quote...."Sometimes we need someone to simply be there....not to fix anything or do anything in particular, but to just let us feel we are supported and cared about"

    1. Yes, it's funny how you go into a store such as that with list in hand and simply the act of walking by the shelves results in things leaping into the basket. Can't figure it out.

  2. Aha, so you picked up a few stitchhikers at Fabricland. I'm sure you'll put them to good use soon. There is so much temptation at craft stores for me. I have to ask myself DO i need this, or MIGHT i need this. The DO's are usually what I went for, the MIGHT's often times come home too. It's been hard to break myself of that habit.

    1. Sitchhikers!!! - I love it!!!! This is the first time I've been in an actual fabric shop since long before the virus hit so I actually was quite proud of myself that I didn't succumb to more than I did. Could be all the 'let my fingers do the walking' shopping I've done online!?

  3. That quotation is soooooo right. Thank you. I think I have some teeny buttons that can get to you if I find them and they seem okay. I'll check.

    1. Glad you liked the quote. You'd think with all the buttons I have on hand that I would have what I needed but noooooo.

    1. I don't think there's any hope for the car...sadly. Glad you find some of the quotes of value.

  5. Why is it that we have jars of buttons, but never can find the buttons we need?? Sweet little angel♡

    1. I have tons of buttons but nothing that matches in the numbers I need for a sweater OR in the colours I would need...or the right size for that matter. Oh well, good excuse for a foray into the fabric shop!

  6. Sweet angel! Sometimes I think my trolley is magnetic when I find extra things in it. I'm positive I did not choose them. Good quote.

  7. LOL, my car often finds it' own way to both those stores as well. To make matters even worse things just seem to magically appear in my cart....

    Love the angel.

    God bless.

    1. Wonder how car manufacturers can manage to program that into our cars?

  8. Doesn't matter how many buttons you have, you never have the ones needed for a project. Nice work. Now, if I could get back to doing things in my studio!! Thanks doe posting.

    1. You'd think, with the sheer amount of buttons I have, that I'd be able to find exactly what I need but it's very rare. I suppose I should think about making sweaters with entirely mismatched buttons?

  9. Today's quote is so true. The need to fix something or make someone feel better is so strong, it's hard to remember that most of the time, when someone is hurting, all they need and want is to be heard. Your angel stitch is cute!

    1. I agree - it's in our makeup to try to fix things and sometimes that's not what is really needed.

    1. I don't like to think about what's coming after September, that's for sure. I've been a 'pattern combine-er' for years because I rarely find just what I'm wanting and end up cobbling something else together.
