Hard to see, but there's been progress!

I don't know how well you can see the additions to the landscape, but here's a photo anyway....

The barn and the sky, as well as the grass, has been stitched/quilted and I've started shading the barn and working on the clouds.  There are several more layers of paint/pencil to add yet before it looks the way I would like it to.  Of course there's always the very real risk that I might well flub it up totally!

Today's quote... "Living a stress free life doesn't come from perfect experiences because there is no such thing as a perfect life; rather, it's a reward of frequent positive interpretations of one's ordeals"

    1. Takes a lot of layers of 'stuff' to get it to look real, so it takes awhile!

    1. Yay - glad you could see what I've done. It's hard to know how much actually shows up in the photos.

  3. You won't "flub" up your landscape. The stitching on the barn looks great and the sky is amazing. I love those clouds, too.

    1. Each step in the process seems to add that bit of personality to it - an evolution that's fun to create and watch evolve.

  5. Thank you for the links
The cross stitch deer is lovely; the stitched lampshade are gorgeous; and the knitted oranments look easy enough for a beginner. :)

    1. Wouldn't it be fun if we could 'fly' to each other's houses and see how the other works? I would dearly love to see how you do those wonderful dolls. We can but dream though.....
