Today I will just show you a couple of close-ups of the latest landscape. The rest isn't quite ready to be revealed at the moment.
The quote is from Calvin Coolidge..."Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas"
Your chickens are stunning! The progress is beautuful, but those chickens are quilt worthy on their own.
ReplyDeleteFussy cutting can add a lot to any landscape - particularly if you're lucky enough to have just the right thing in your stash
DeleteLove all the animal kingdom additions you've made....and that stitching is wonderful --adding so much texture!!
ReplyDeleteThat button artist is amazing...thanks for sharing...
hugs from Winter Wonderland Julierose
For some reason this landscape 'wanted' animals and birds so who am I to argue with what it wants?
DeleteThe button artist is indeed amazing and the kittens adorable. I'll be passing on these links. Good going with the farm.
ReplyDeleteShe not only uses buttons but lots of other 'bits' of things too. Would love to see her creations in person!
DeleteThis is where it's an advantage to have a stash, so you have tons of raw material for fussy cutting.
ReplyDeleteHaving a stash can be a good thing but it's when I keep adding to it that it can be a problem!
DeleteBeautiful work, so e very intrictae cutting. Thank you for all the links, Merry Christmas 🎄
ReplyDeleteThank you - and Merry Christmas to you and yours too!
DeleteYour landscapes are absolutely fabulous! You do such gorgeous work. The links you shared are to such fun creations. (I made the hubby come and look with me.) And, I love your quote. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you as well Renee - thank you for the lovely comment. Hope your hubby didn't think he was hard done by!!
DeleteI am miles behind but I am so grateful to be here now perusing your posts. This landscape is wonderful and the addition of chickens is very popular since so many have chickens and coops. Such fun links and I adore those felted kitty cats. Christmas this year is as strange as the entire year has been with Covid and complications for all. Merry Christmas Dear.
ReplyDeleteThe chickens just seemed to belong there for some reason. I try to remember to get out of my own way and listen to what a design wants and in this case it wanted some fun additions. Glad you liked those kitties - several people have so I guess I found a good link!
DeleteGreat additions to your landscape. Thanks for the links, the felted cats from Russia are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe felted cats were amazing - and to think they're so tiny. Can't imagine making them that small.
DeleteWell you little Tease, keeping us in suspense. I'll consider it a Christmas gift to get to see the reveal later. I know it's going to be fabulous. My Momma made all of us grand kids one of those Christmas trees back in the 70s. I loved mine. Somehow its gotten misplaced in the last 3 moves. I guess we can't keep everything?
ReplyDeleteThe reveal might not happen until after Christmas but we'll see how much I get done over the next couple of days. The embroidery takes awhile.
DeleteOh wow! 'Tis looking great. All the embroidery details and little applique leaves and critters are fabulous.
DeleteThanks Kim! I'm getting there with it. Had hoped to finish before Christmas but don't think that's going to happen now.
DeleteIt's so much fun to see you add all of those animals and your stitching details. I always love seeing that Santa made from all those plastic bits and bobs. Her work is awesome. Thanks for the great links.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun for me too! That's probably why I make so many landscapes. And I agree - that Santa (and her other work) is absolutely awesome.
