There are some further updates on the landscape as you can see from this photo...
Some of the additional elements have been fussy cut from pre-printed fabric. The work on the tree has begun with the leaves ready to be added next. Then it will be on to the embroidery part of it.Today's quote is from John Holmes..."There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up"
Love the sweet addition of the birds in the tree, the little pigs and the chooks. This landscape is looking fabulous. Love those stone buttons. No snow here.....must go out and find me some stones. =)
ReplyDeleteI bought that bird fabric simply to fussy cut for the tree. What can I say....
DeleteDrilling rocks for buttons is certainly novel. Good idea to wear a mask. You do not want to inhale stone dust! She does mention safety glasses. I do love drilling.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll be drilling any rocks but the idea is fun anyway. I'm not about to go out and buy a drill just so I can try it!
DeleteThat cute little vignette in the bottom left hand corner really adds a feeling of depth to the rest of your picture..it is coming together so well...hugs on a rainy evening Julierose
ReplyDeleteThank you Julierose - right now I'm adding the leaves to the tree and then the embroidery will start.
DeleteEverything on the farm is just right! The tree fabric is so realistic I had to do a closeup. I'm sure you will add more birds on other projects -the fabric won't be wasted. Such a lovely quote from John Holmes
ReplyDeleteI wish you could touch the tree fabric because I'm really happy with all the texture. Unfortunately that aspect of it is lost in the photos. And yes I'm sure the birds will appear in other projects down the road....there are several other bird species on the fabric that I can use somewhere.
DeleteNice additions to the landscape. I like the cardinal block which is one of several Christmas blocks. thanks
ReplyDeleteI liked that cardinal block too - lots of possibilities there.
DeleteThis landscape is just looking so beautiful Mary Anne! I really love the latest additions! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine. Each addition makes it look a little more interesting I think (I hope!)
DeleteLOVE the framing of your piece. The Kentucky state bird is the beautiful Cardinal. So I must save that pattern. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteI thought that cardinal was a nice one too - hopefully you can use it for something.
DeleteLove the addition of the tree and birds.
ReplyDeleteI used 'artistic license' to add the tree because it wasn't in the original image. For some reason I felt it needed it.
