Another page

Here is another page for the quiet book...

Now I've switched gears while I try to figure out PMS's latest issue and have a gigantic mess in my sewing space.  See?.....

This is the result of attempting to downsize two hugely stuffed 2" binders of embroidery patterns I've collected over the years into just one.  Am I suffering from piles?  Oh yeah!  (You, at your peril, can click to embiggen if you dare).

Today's quote ... "Love the people God gave you because he will need them back one day"

  1. The Izzy dolls look like the dolls I used to knit for Icross Canada. Lovely to make, great cause to send to. I had a couple of friends, beginning knitters, make them successfully and send them. I may check if I can do that again. Thanks for the nudge.

    1. You're welcome! They are really cute little dolls and serve so many purposes. I think this pattern is a slightly different twist on the old one.

  2. 'Tis good you are keeping busy, Mary Anne. =) I can just imagine the number of patterns you have collected over the years. Another fabulous page for your little book. Thank the Good Lord there is a lot of hand stitching in this little book. I do hope you sort out your sewing machine soon. I can imagine you are itching to get back to your sublime landscapes.

    1. I would go stark raving mad if I didn't have something to do! Plus which, I was getting cross-eyed surfing the internet for what to do to fix PMS Albatross. Oh....landscapes.....nothing but a distant memory....

    1. Right now my sewing room is a gigantic mess of paper with piles everywhere. Didn't think it was going to take this long!

Marianne, my sewing room is, for the moment, cleaned up and straightened out. That's because nothing's going on in there so I envy you your mess. FWIW

    1. The whole reason I'm in such a mess is simply because there's no sewing going on here. I'd much rather have a fabric mess than a paper mess any day!

  5. Sometimes it is good to have a change and although they create a mess I rather like projects like the downsizing files project you are tackling!! There is a great sense of achievement at the end!! Hope the change ignites the spark to come up with what is needed to mend your machine!! Christine xx

    1. I got the paper job completed so now I guess I have to muster my courage (and my blood pressure) and try to enact a few of the ideas found online to 'fix' PMS Albatross. Needless to say my hopes aren't too high.

    1. I made our other 2 grandsons a quiet book so simply have to do another for our expected arrival...it's what grandma's do. I'm trying to make this one different from the one his older brother has though.

    1. I can make an amazing amount of mess in a very short time - despite my best promises to myself that I will clean up as I go. Obviously it doesn't happen!
