Happy Thanksgiving to my
Canadian friends!

Over the weekend I started working on a quiet book for our expected addition to our family.  Two pages are finished....

- THIS reminded me of one my grandmother had when I was a kid.

- It seems that gnomes are all the rage at the moment, so HERE is a tutorial you might like to try.  And there's another one HERE.

- It's never too early to think about making Christmas ornaments and I think THIS is really cute!

- If I were a person that wore shawls, I would love THIS one. And while you're there, have a peek at her other free patterns HERE.

- THESE made me smile!

- Have a look at THIS Pinterest board - wow!  And THIS too.

Today's quote is from William Arthur Ward..."Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings"

  2. I love children's quiet fabric books. Your first two pages are fabulous. I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving. Did your resident chef whip up a storm??

    1. Nope, no whipping of cooking storms here by Resident Chef this weekend. We celebrated by ourselves so there wasn't much point in making anything too fancy. Quiet books are fun - time consuming, but fun.

    1. Quiet books take a long time to make but they are definitely fun to do. I'm trying to make this one different from the one I made for his brother.

    1. It's so much fun to make things for grandkids - at least until they reach the age where they turn their noses up at anything handmade by Grandma. That day will come soon enough.

    1. Yes, cooler weather is coming, unfortunately! My sewing progress came to an abrupt halt again - PMS Albatross is doing her hissy fit thing again.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
