Small project

I wasn't planning to show you this until I had the quilt that accompanies it done. But....with no sewing happening here at Chez Magpie, I need to come up with something (anything!) to show you.

It's a pillowcase, made using the burrito method.

And...beware - there's a computer hack going around that says that you have detected viruses through Google Chrome - it keeps popping up with dire warnings that your computer is infected with dangerous viruses.  I checked.  It's a scam.

Well, now I'm officially bored.  No sewing.  Patterns have been downsized and sorted.  Does this mean I have to tackle trying to fix PMS Albatross which I already know will do nothing more than increase my blood pressure.  Sigh.

Today's quote...."Time and good friends are two things that become more valuable the older you get"

    1. There's one thing about me being bored - I get things cleaned out. To be honest though, probably TOO cleaned out!!

    1. Hmmm - gin and tonic - never thought of that! Mind you, I don't much like gin but maybe if I were to pour it over PMS she might?

    1. The torn paper art was definitely interesting and fun. I suppose it would be a great way to use up junk mail!

    1. The pillowcase is to go along with the Mario quilt I made that's currently out being quilted. Will show it when it's done.

    1. I made this before PMS decided to throw her latest fit so luckily I hadn't already shown it here.

  8. Cute pillow, Mary Anne! Your talk of downsizing patterns reminds me that getting mine better organized (and possibly downsized) is next on my docket. The first next thing I have to accomplish (today, hopefully) is that the table in my yarn room gets into shape for the sorting (i.e. gets cleared off). I do love how we crafters can motivate and inspire each other.

    1. Thank you Becki - it's actually just a pillowcase, not a full pillow. Downsizing is always a good thing - if only to refresh your memory as to what you have. I don't know what to tackle next and luckily I have a busy week with social things so I'm managing not to have too much stitching withdrawal.

    1. Luckily this week has been pretty much taken up with being social so I haven't had time to get TOO bored. I've even resisted the urge to take the hammer to PMS Albatross (and THAT was hard, let me tell you!).

    1. It's an easy method for making pillowcases with enclosed seams, for sure.
