This one has been ongoing for a couple of months so don't get excited and think I'm churning things out with great pizzazz! We're expecting a new baby in the family the end of January so this little blanket will be for him....
Today's quote..."Give, but don't allow yourself to be used. Love, but don't allow your heart to be abused. Trust, but don't be naive. Listen, but don't lose your own voice"
Yay! A new baby! What a beautiful blanket.
ReplyDeleteYes, yay indeed! We didn't think there would be any more so this one is a wonderful surprise.
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteLove the quote. Wish I knew it decades ago.
Last link to knit pumpkins is fantastic!
That quote is one we could all pay attention to I think! Those pumpkins are cute aren't they.
DeleteThe blanket, is it crochet? Knit? It's lovely anyway. So exciting to be thinking about a new baby. You said him, so I'm guessing they know at this point?
ReplyDeleteIt's crochet - sorry, I should have said that. And yes, they found out that the baby is a boy when we were out there visiting.
DeleteYour crochet baby blanket is a beauty! For a coming grandson, congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI have two grand daughters due the end of November and I'm crocheting two blankets for them.
I'm excited.
Two granddaughters - you are blessed indeed, and have good reason to be excited! We're certainly happy with our grandsons.
DeleteGorgeous blanket, Mary Anne!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote! If only I could remember that!
Hugs,
Barbara xx
It's not as large as I would normally make, but they have a bigger one I made for his older brother so I'm sure they can trade off the two as they need to (hmm....trading off blankets, NOT brothers...hee hee)
DeleteOMG, I loooove those colors! Such a cute afghan!
ReplyDeleteI've never been big on the traditional pink or blue for babies and when I started this we didn't know that it will be a boy. These colours work no matter what.
DeleteHow exciting to have another new addition to the family! Love this little blanket, so pretty! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteYes, most definitely exciting! Now my Grandma genes can have even more fun!!!!
DeleteBeautiful blanket! Lucky grandma!A new child to spoil with all the things you make. Congratulations
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm definitely a lucky grandma! Being able to make things for grandchildren is great fun.
DeleteBeautiful blanket. Love the soft pastel colours.
ReplyDeleteWhen I started this one we didn't know if it would be a girl or a boy so I thought the colours would work for either. Turns out it's a boy!
DeleteMary Anne Dear you cannot deny how prolific you truly are with all the amazing projects you create and complete! WOW! Love this afghan for your new little addition. Excellent quote and too bad our youth are not taught these things early on.
ReplyDeleteFunny, I don't feel as though I'm prolific. For some reason I feel as though I should be doing more!
