On the search, and improvements I hope

I'm sending this out there in hopes that someone might have some scraps of this fabric in their stash that they might be willing to part with.  I don't have a clue who the manufacturer or designer is/was - it's just something that has been lurking in my stash for a long time.  I love using the daisies in my landscapes and I'm down to a precious few and I'd love to have some more.  I could, technically, scan it and print some myself but that's not exactly the right thing to do!!
The bunnies measure approx. an inch and a half from nose to tail.  I have another scrap that has much larger bunnies but the scale isn't what I'm looking for.  Anyway....throwing it out there....

There has been some work done on the latest landscape....for better or worse.  The stitched 'bare' trees were bothering me so after much concentrated effort they were reverse stitched.  Then I didn't like the tree line (behind the barn) so it has been elongated and lightened up somewhat because it was just too dark.  Never let it be said that I'm afraid to go at something with paint...or....horrors....completely cover it up with something else!

and....look what appeared in Resident Chef's
kitchen..

Zucchini muffins!

  1. Try the freezer paper deal. It usually seems to work. I'm pretty sure that specialty printing like this is for inkjet only. Laser would probably melt the wax all over your printer innards, resulting in a large paperweight.

    But try it, it's fun.

    1. I have an inkjet so I'm good. It's going on my list to try - thanks for the input!

    1. It's one of those silly things I threw out there because you never know who might have some lurking somewhere. Thanks for wishing you could help!

  3. Sorry, can’t help with the fabric ..... no bunnies in my stash either!
Interesting post about the Crayola colours, I’ll have to see if this works for me.
    Nice work on your quilt.

    1. Definitely elusive bunnies! I suspect the fabric must be from several years ago. Wish I knew where I got the scraps I do have!

  4. I really want to try the melted crayon technique. Sorry, believe it or not, in my big stash, I don't have that fabric.

  5. Another fabulous barn in the making. Sorry, there is not a skerrick of that fabric in my stash. I have not tried zucchini muffins....were they delicious. Oh, I know a stupid question, perhaps. =)

    1. Zucchini muffins are my favourites, so there's certainly no difficulty eating them. I'll try to remember to put the recipe on here in case anyone is interested. Jury is out on the barn at the moment - there are elements I like, and elements I don't.

  6. Sorry no daisies in my downsized stash. Your landscape adjustments are always an improvement on what I think is just right. Decades ago I taught elementary classes on painting with Crayolas and it is always such fun and successful. Those math problems had my head spinning! 105F here again today and with zero rain.

    1. I often wonder if what I end up doing is an improvement or not - all I know is I'm not happy with something and I change it until it doesn't scream at me. Now, if I had artistic training, perhaps I'd know WHY something niggles at me (or, even better, know what I should do!). And better yet - avoid it altogether!

  7. Hi Mary Anne - sadly I don't have any of this fabric, but I did see some on sale - Etsy?

    Not sure if this helps.
Great work - as usual - on your barn. You are one talented lady.

    1. I saw that same listing I think and (seeing your second comment) I noticed it was no longer available too. Not only that, I think that was one of the sellers that refuses to ship to Canada. Most of them don't, why I don't know. I've come to the conclusion they must think us Canadians stink or something!!

  8. Ah, apologies, Mary Anne, despite it saying it is in stock - when I researched further, it implied it is no longer available. So annoying! Grrr.

    1. I love that fabric - it's just exactly the right scale for my landscapes (and I love those bunnies!). You'll see, when next I post a picture of my latest landscape, how I've used some of the precious little scraps I have left!

  10. Boy, do I wish I had some of that fabric and could help you out. I would feel so clever (first that I had acquired such a pretty fabric, and secondly that I could be helpful. But alas... I am neither clever nor helpful. Re: your picture... I'm seeing a fence in the foreground now that I didn't notice before. I love playing this version of I Spy when it comes to your lovely creations. :)

    1. You are most definitely both clever and helpful! And yes, you did spy a fence that's been added.

  11. Loving the 'improvements' And the quote for today was perfect as my mind was set to wondering how do they get both legs measuring the same when you have a hip replacement. Funny thing to think of!!

    1. Well, I must admit in all my ponderings I don't think it's ever occurred to me to wonder about leg lengths!! Now, however, I am (thank you).

  12. Hope you find some other fabric that will work with the landscapes. The barn is coming along. Muffins look good.
