December in July

I did accomplish a little more on the landscape over the weekend but not enough that you can really see much of a difference.  So....instead of showing you that....here's another of my 'evening projects' I just finished.  Something else for the Christmas box!

The pattern is the 'Basic Knitted Socks' by
Kate Atherly, and can be found on
Ravelry HERE.
Yarn is 'Pairfect' by Regia.

This is my 'go-to' sock pattern - easy and lots of
stretch so they fit quite well.  The only thing I change is to
begin with 12 rows of knit 1, purl 1 for additional
stretch at the top.

  1. You really knit wonderful socks. Christmas will be all about the socks this year and everyone will have “Happy Feet”. Fun links to view. Yes...I can totally relate to the quote today...scissors, glasses, keys!

    1. Happy Feet - I like that! Hopefully it will be everyone, but I'm not that fast with knitting so I don't know if I can do it.

  2. Great work on your sock finish, someone will love them! And the Three Zipper Bag is very cute, I 'm tempted to give it a try, I like sewing up small bags.
Looking forward to seeing more progress on your landscape project.

  3. Nice socks. Alas, it will be a while before I dare knit a pair.
I like that knitted slippers pattern.

  4. Very nice socks. And Whoa! to those quilted cars. Fascinating use of such a variety of prints! She makes the chrome shine. :)

    1. I was definitely intrigued by those cars - gives me incentive to continue on. However, I about fell off my chair when I saw her asking price. I can just imagine even thinking about asking that much in this area - esp. when people are put off by my asking a paltry $250!!!

Ah, your next project I think!

    1. Hopefully the guys in the family like them. Once I'm finished the current pair, it will be on to the ones for the women - thankfully they're a bit smaller!

  6. Socks are lovely! My sister is the sock knitter in the family. She took over that role from our mother.

    1. My mother didn't knit socks - at least not in my lifetime. I think she did as part of the war effort but she had no interest after that.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
