And yet more progress

As you can see, there has been a bit more progress on the old car part of the landscape.

Sometimes there are mysteries that happen here at Chez Magpie and yesterday PMS Albatross decided in her wisdom that she should start sewing one of the decorative stitches completely backwards.  No reason.  At first I thought it was because I had pressed the reverse button but then I remembered that the decorative stitches don't HAVE a reverse option.  So why, oh why, did this particular hissy fit occur?  Yet another in the litany of idiosyncrasies of PMS Albatross!!

Today's quote..."Warning!  This woman is a quilter.  She actually enjoys chopping up perfectly good fabric into little teeny tiny pieces and then sewing them all right back together again for fun!"

  1. Your car picture is looking fabulous :)

That face of the 5 year old girl in the link is ancient beyond her years. Lots of pain in those eyes.

    1. Thank you Mary Ann - I'm having fun with the car. And you're so right about the beyond her years in that face.

    1. It's progressing. Today I started adding the embroidery so that always makes it look better too.

  3. I've tried a few different types of heels - and toes - and cuffs - for handknit socks, but usually come back to one I've modified to fit my foot best. That's the joy of handknit socks - you can make them a custom fit for your own foot :)

    1. I finally found a sock pattern I really like and it's my go-to now. I have NO clue what type of heel it has, but it's relatively easy to do and that's what counts in my books.

  4. Great progress and hopefully you get the mysterious stitch issue cleared up soon, that kind of stuff can be frustrating!
And the crochet cat is cute, little ones would have fun with it.

    1. PMS Albatross is just a pain - she has more issues than I've ever seen. And many of them are so totally out in left field that no service person believes they could happen. I could write a book!

    1. Thank you Shirlee! Your words are certainly good for my ego!! I was really terrified of attempting the car but mustering my courage was a good thing - at least so far.

    1. Thank you Cathy. I'm sure lots of car aficionados would look at it and see all sorts of flaws but I'm happy with it and that's all that counts, right?

  8. WOW! MA you really do work magic and this automobile is coming alive with each detail you add. I definitely love this! Those sock heels would be perfect for softening heels with lotions/potions and not having to wear full socks to get hot feet in this warm weather. OMG Zahra! Very funny quote.

    1. I don't know about working magic Sherry, but I'm certainly having fun with what I'm doing. Never thought of that use for those sock heels, but you're right!

  9. I'm enjoying just sitting and looking at this. I finally decided I needed to leave a comment before I got called away and forget (which has happened to me before while admiring your creations). You've made that car look old! :) Once again, I'm so impressed. Now to check out some of your links!
