I'm sure you are not the least bit (yawn) interested in seeing any photos of my ongoing purge in my sewing room, so instead I will send you off to other places that are FAR more interesting than here....
1. If you are looking for ways to make your photographs of your quilts (but useful for many other things too) Sharon B's husband Jerry has written a nice article HERE.
2. Mary Corbet has posted a number of really interesting things lately, and here's a short list of the ones I found that I plan to utilize at some point...
- Go HERE to see how she creates beautiful Chain Stitch Blossoms (part of her Stitch Fun series)
- Go HERE to see her 'Alternating Beaded Chain Stitch) - also part of her Stitch Fun series
- Go HERE to see her great article on organizing your bead stash
- and finally, go HERE to see how to make a very handy bead tray
3. Came across an interesting tidbit on Craft Gossip - crocheting on leaves (yes, real live leaves!). Go HERE.
And, finally, here's your quote of the day, attributed to the infamous 'Anonymous'.... "I'm still hot - it just comes in flashes"
love the leaves. she does such beautiful work with them. i've stitched on leaves but never crocheted. i treated them with glycerin first to make them more permanent and flexible. i think i had read somewhere that she treats them in some way as well. they are stunning.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful you gather and post links that are sew interesting. I just had to check out those crocheted leaves...amazing! Purging your sewing room is what I shall be doing to mine later this month. I am not looking forward to the huge task it will be. Creative Bliss Dear...
ReplyDeleteYou find the BEST links! but I'm a bit mad that I'm now on yet two more lists for newsletters...

Thanks for the links! I'm going to go check out those crocheted leaves since crochet is what I'm focusing on this month. You are purging again??? It seems any time I purge even one craft or art supply I find myself needing it.
ReplyDeleteThose leaves are beautiful....hopefully they are framed I would imagine they are quite fragile!!!
