I've been intending to tell you about a few things you might find of interest, so here goes....
Mary Corbet of NeedlenThread has done several great posts that will be helpful to embroiderers. Go HERE for tutorials for 26 different chain stitch variations; HERE for embroidery design transfer tips; and HERE for some fun places to visit.
My friend Pam Kellogg has put out a call for submissions for the Summer issue of the new 'Crazy Quilt Quarterly' magazine. The theme of this issue will be 'Seascapes', but I know Pam will be happy with anything you might choose to share with her readers. Go HERE for further information. Please do consider submitting your work - the more we support the magazine, the more fun it is for all of us.
Pam is also looking for photos and descriptions of how you organize your crazy quilt supplies and you can go HERE to read more about that.
And, for the knitters, Garn Studio has been putting up daily free knitting patterns for the month of December. There are some really cute things and if you'd like to have a peek, go HERE. They will be revealing a new pattern every day until Christmas.
If you love animals and textile art, you will want to have a look at the work of THIS artist! Be sure to click on each of her pictures to embiggen to see the incredible detail she puts into her work.
I just finished making a shopping cart cover for my grandson. It's impossible to take a decent picture of what, in effect, is a blob of fabric with no shape (and I don't suppose it's very smart to 'borrow' a shopping cart to bring it home just to do a photo shoot!!). So...instead of a picture of my finished one, here's a photo of the pattern itself and of the fabric I used. You're just going to have to use your imagination!
Today the quote is from Salman Rushdie .... "What kind of Christmas present would Jesus ask Santa for?"
You are full of fun places to visit today! What would Jesus would ask Santa for....that is a question that requires much thought and prayer...and maybe that is the very answer.
