  2. Awwwe! Aren't they just the cutest!

Despite my best efforts to deter ... I have a robin's nest yet again outside my front door!
This time on top of my hydro box.
I appreciate their smarts ... building in a nice protected spot ... and their tenacity ... ignoring the two three-pronged claw tools I deliberately put up there that I thought would foil the construction ... but there it is ... nonetheless! Don't know if there's any eggs in it ... and hasn't been any roosting so far ... but guess we'll see!

  3. When I was young, I only saw Canadian Geese flying in a V going north or going south. They never stuck around much. Now they are here year round making all the retention ponds in apartment complexes and subdivisions their home. Residents complain the water has become contaminated. I still love the geese. We have a family just like this one a block from my house. Cute babies!

  4. Cute as buttons until they start pooping all over the kids' soccer fields. I remember we even had to cancel a few games sometimes because it was so bad!
