Denim tote+stash reduction

I reduced some of my recycled denim stash making this tote for a Christmas gift. The picture above is the front and the side view is below. There's a pocket on each side which might be handy to carry a cell phone.
The pattern is Simplicity 2597 and I know I'll be making more of these!

  4. Oh, so cute Mary Anne! Did you embroider the stars on the denim or did it come that way?

    I bought a vintage bag today that is totally covered in white pailettes! It's a little bigger than what I normally carry for a purse but the sparkles were irresistible to me. And so was the $15 price tag! I of course, plan to embellish it some more.
