Tomorrow the painter is coming to paint our living room, kitchen and hallway so you all know what that means don't you...everything has to move. All the pictures have to come down (and we have a LOT) and furniture has to move. Once more we're suffering from piles of stuff everywhere. AND....just to compound the situation I have to do a trunk show tomorrow too so my landscapes are also in a huge pile ready to be loaded into the car. I'm looking forward to the new look but the getting there (and putting things back) isn't much fun.
- THIS is one of the nicer maple leaf patterns I've come across.
- If you like gnomes, perhaps you'd like to create THIS one for your Christmas decor.
- I loved scrolling through THESE but alas there are no live links to any of the projects. Good for ideas though.
- THESE are adorable and it's the right time of year to make them!

Never a dull moment, huh? Of course everything ends up on the same day! Good luck with the trunk show. Is it a long drive? I'm guessing RC will be home this time for the painters.
ReplyDeleteLuckily the trunk show is at a church here in town so not far to go so no need for the RC to come with me.
DeleteYou, my friend, know all about the never a dull moment happenings!
Two of my ceilings still need repainting after leaks several years ago, but every time I try to imagine the prep, I decide to live with the stains "a while longer." The best tip I ever got for painting walls that hold a lot of artwork: take a photograph of the wall before you take the artwork down. It can save a lot of time when putting everything back up ;)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel! We've been putting off painting for at least two years (probably more) and I finally decided that life's too short and I want to enjoy my surroundings. Good tip about the paintings, but I know where everything goes because in most cases there's nowhere else it CAN go.
DeleteI hope the painting goes well.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Can't wait for it to be done and everything put back in place.
DeleteLove that maple leaf pattern--thnx for the link; your quote today is so true..
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the painting and the trunk show...hugs, Julierose
I think that maple leaf is one of the nicest ones I've seen.
DeleteAnd thanks for the 'luck' wishes. I'll be glad when tomorrow is over and done.
that quote is so good and so true.......
ReplyDeleteThat quote certainly resonates with me, being a lover of books.
DeleteWishing you much success on your trunk show! Please take it easy moving and lifting things
ReplyDeleteThere is something special about that maple leaf. It is livelier than others. The denim projects are a big plus!
I hope the trunk show goes well....I'm definitely NOT a public speaker so I'm always a bit of a nervous wreck beforehand.
DeleteBooks are indeed astonishing
ReplyDeleteFor sure!
DeleteI do hope the trunk show goes well and the painting is completed quickly so you can get back to normal. Books are a wonderful way of traveling to different worlds.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I hope the trunk show goes well too. As for the painting, even though it's a pain to move everything out of the way, I'm very glad not to have to do it myself.
DeleteGood luck with the painting!
ReplyDeleteThanks! At least I'm not doing it myself this time.
Deletethe maple leaf is awesome and i think that one needs to live my Women of Canada quilt - can i do the math? uhm ... sure, i can divide six by five plus one half ... gulp
ReplyDeleteDon't know if you noticed that the maple leaf pattern comes in three sizes? Perhaps one will work....if not, you could always use the smaller one and then add some sashing to bring it up to the correct size.
DeleteAll that upheaval will be so worth it once you have a freshly painted space. You and Resident Chef won't know yourselves. Also, perhaps more stuff can be 'tossed to the kerb'?? Good luck with the trunk show. Wish oh wish I could experience one of your trunk shows and see those landscapes up close.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could too Kim - wouldn't that be fun!!
DeletePainting is done, but we're still putting things back into place and rearranging some 'stuff'. Sadly not much heading for the curb.
