A little announcement and an update

First of all, don't worry when you don't see a post from me on Monday (and possibly on Wednesday as well).  We're taking a couple days to visit our #1 son and his family in their new town and I won't have internet access.  Please feel free to chat amongst yourselves.

**************
After a couple false starts on the border for the latest landscape, I think it's now done....(UPDATED TO ADD:  After peering at the black outside border once again, I've decided that it's too stark so it's coming off in favour of either a brown or a green, most likely brown.

NOT FOR SALE

- Those of you who like hexxies might find THIS little project fun to do.

- And HERE's another fun little project.  And THIS is another one.

- If my grandsons were a little younger I'd love to make them one of THESE.

Today's quote is from Morgan Freeman..."Maybe if we underpaid politicians and overpaid teachers, there would be smarter people and less stupid laws"

    1. Actually they're over an hour further away so it's not a trip we'll be making often. #2 son and his family still live in BC so I think our days of flying out there are pretty much over. A four hour road trip to see our #1 son is even stretching the limit now, particularly when I'm now the only driver.

  2. Your landscape is just lovely!!:))) Amazing details on this one!
We are headed for another few days of hot weather here--these past 2 days of cool and dry weather were such a relief. Now we need a lot of rain--lots!! Hugs, Julierose

    1. Thank you - I hope the client likes it! It's changed somewhat since I took this photo so I will show it after we return from our road trip. Hot weather supposed to be happening here too.

    1. We aren't big travelers so it will be interesting. I'm a little worried because I've always been the navigator and now that I'm the only driver I have to rely on DH who isn't all that good at it (mostly because he's never had to do it before).

    2. MA, do you have a mobile phone - if so try Google maps, with directions, then key in the destination. Keep your phone plugged in while driving then you won't lose power, but you can buy phone holders to sit on the dashboard, this may help. I must admit, I have been doing this for our last few long journeys - so much easier!
I love your landscape, MA, beautiful. xx

    3. I do have a cell phone but it's not hooked up to the internet. I did download the Google maps directions and have them printed out but sadly the RC announces 'turn here' two seconds before the corner and doesn't give me time to get in the right lane much less get my turn signal on. We also have a plug-in GPS unit we can use but it's the same. He just has to learn how to keep on top of where we are...something he's never had to do in 47 years of marriage.

    1. Thank you Kim! The landscape doesn't look the same now because I took off that offensive black and have replaced it.

  6. Enjoy your visit with your son. I love the landscape, but I agree that a different colour edging (brown) would suit much better.

    God bless.
