A break, of sorts

I decided I'd take a day off from working on the fusion quilt and make this wee mug rug giftie for adding to the Christmas box.

I'm not a sane quilter and that's obvious from the cut-off points, but the recipient is  not a quilter either so hopefully she won't notice!

- I came across THIS cute little project that I thought you might like.

- THIS is an awwwww-thing.

- Be prepared to be awed when you have a peek at the amazing works by THIS artist!

Today's quote is from Mark Twain..."When the rich rob the poor it's called business but when the poor fight back it's called violence"

🙏Prayers for Jamaica and the Bahamas🙏

  1. Those crocheted leaves are beautiful also mystifying -- how do you DO that?? The quilted piece is lovely, what points, I'm not seeing any issues..

    1. I suspect she must treat the leaves with something...perhaps glycerin?
As for the points, thank you for not noticing! All the ones on the outside are cut off, not sure if that's the fault of the designer or me (and I'm pretty sure it's me!).

    1. It's going to Australia so I thought the recipient might like a little glimpse of our autumn leaves here.

  3. Love the quilted gift. I always start out well with points, but end up losing them and Harvey, Kurt and Kris don't care.

    God bless.

    1. I don't think my cousin will care either - she just loves getting something I've made just for her so I know she won't complain.

    1. Would have been better if I hadn't managed to cut off the outside points, but oh well...it's the thought that counts, right?

    1. I can't imagine crocheting onto leaves but she must have a good technique to make it work.

  7. I love the mug rug! You have inspired me to consider making some of these (in a Christmas theme) next year for a gift project I may be involved in. We'll see if I follow through... ;^)

    1. Mug rugs are quite popular I think and they're nice and flat for mailing.
