I decided I'd take a day off from working on the fusion quilt and make this wee mug rug giftie for adding to the Christmas box.
I'm not a sane quilter and that's obvious from the cut-off points, but the recipient is not a quilter either so hopefully she won't notice!
- I came across THIS cute little project that I thought you might like.
- THIS is an awwwww-thing.
- Be prepared to be awed when you have a peek at the amazing works by THIS artist!
Today's quote is from Mark Twain..."When the rich rob the poor it's called business but when the poor fight back it's called violence"

Those crocheted leaves are beautiful also mystifying -- how do you DO that?? The quilted piece is lovely, what points, I'm not seeing any issues..
ReplyDeleteI suspect she must treat the leaves with something...perhaps glycerin?
DeleteAs for the points, thank you for not noticing! All the ones on the outside are cut off, not sure if that's the fault of the designer or me (and I'm pretty sure it's me!).
Lovely little leaf mug rug you've made:))) I love the fabric...Hope the rest of your week goes well...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteIt's going to Australia so I thought the recipient might like a little glimpse of our autumn leaves here.
DeleteThis is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda!
DeleteLove the quilted gift. I always start out well with points, but end up losing them and Harvey, Kurt and Kris don't care.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I don't think my cousin will care either - she just loves getting something I've made just for her so I know she won't complain.
Deleteanyone with a love for maple leaves and mug rugs would love to receive your creation cuz it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWould have been better if I hadn't managed to cut off the outside points, but oh well...it's the thought that counts, right?
DeleteI like the maple leaf pattern. Bauer's leaf crochet is astounding.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine crocheting onto leaves but she must have a good technique to make it work.
DeleteWhat a lovely Maple Leaf mug rug! i'm sure the recipient will be delighted.
ReplyDeleteI think she'll like it - at least I hope so!
DeleteI love the mug rug! You have inspired me to consider making some of these (in a Christmas theme) next year for a gift project I may be involved in. We'll see if I follow through... ;^)
ReplyDeleteMug rugs are quite popular I think and they're nice and flat for mailing.
