For context, the single board tucked up beneath the chair hasn't been stitched yet. Yes, your Magpie is obsessed and some would say quite looney. Methinks they might not be far wrong!
- If you live in the US, perhaps you might like to take part in THIS project.
- Have a peek through the galleries of THIS incredible artist!
- If you're planning to do any preserving over the next while and thinking about giving some of it as gifts, perhaps you'd like to add THESE.
- THIS looks like it would be such fun to try!
Today's quote is by William Wilson (sorry, but I might have shared this one before?)..."We are living in a day where people are proud of what they should be ashamed of"
You are right about my not seeing the stitches--BUT you know they're there and they please you, so that is what really counts in the end, right? I am happy to hear that I am not the only (obsessed??) one who does stuff like that;)))
ReplyDeleteHugs for a good upcoming week...Julierose
I like to add the texture of the stitching onto the 'boards' because then they (hopefully) look more realistic. Really wish that texture showed up better in the picture though.
DeleteI echo Julierose's comment. ♥️
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda!
DeleteSherryofcreateology: Hello Dear. Your Red Chair is coming along nicely. I agree the stitching on the floorboards does really give them texture and a sense of real wood. I adore the onion skin papers. Your quote is just like what I have been saying, “The former forbidden is now the accepted norm”. Example: Wearing a bra and thong under a see through dress. Remember when an “Itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikini” was too risqué? Next I fear we will all be raised by Salamanders and be naked and look identical.
ReplyDeleteNow THAT's an interesting thought (being raised by salamanders)!!
