I'm in the process of adding embroidery to the landscape and I doubt that a 'straight-on' photo will show the detail....so....I thought I'd try to be artistic with the camera and try to show you an angle shot. Successfully I hope!
I think you can click on the picture to embiggen it further.
- THIS might be an interesting process to try out.
- Have a scroll through the works by THIS artist!
- If you like slow stitching and yo-yo's, perhaps one of the ideas HERE might be of interest.
- I came across THIS article and found it quite interesting so thought I'd share.
Today the quote is from Thomas Paine..."A body of men holding themselves accountable to nobody ought not to be trusted by anybody"
Lovely stitching on your latest landscape--you have such nimble fingers to do those tiny stitches...;))
ReplyDeleteHope your upcoming week will be good:))) hugs, Julierose
Well I'm not so sure my fingers could be called nimble, particularly when 'Arthur' is rearing his ugly little head. I refuse to give in though and will stitch no matter what.
DeleteThat article is good. And you can add that, once you're proficient you need to avoid just doing what you're good at, but keep pushing new ideas even if you're not so proficient there! I think beginners sometimes think there's a point where you've arrived in some way. But really you never arrive! You go on learning and enjoying new adventures.
ReplyDeleteI agree! With every landscape I do I try to add some element of challenge because otherwise what's the point of just rinsing and repeating myself.
DeleteBeautiful stitching!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda! I hoped the texture showed up, although the photo is a little dark.
DeleteWell done. It all looks just lovely. The texture showed up perfectly to me.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Glad you could see it despite the dark photo.
