Pattern is THIS one.
- If you go HERE you will find all sorts of links to free tote bag patterns
- There's an 'awwww' moment HERE.
- I'm putting THIS link here primarily for my own reference because I'm going to need to make some for the quilt I'm working on...at least I think I will, unless I can find something easier and better.
- Seeing THESE might be inspirational to some of you.
- I'm sure you all need to know how to do THESE!
Here is your quote of the day..."Reading can seriously damage your ignorance"
landscapes in wool. I wonder if you'll do anything like that?
ReplyDeleteNope - not on my radar but I WAS thinking of you when I posted it. I'd have to invest in a whole 'nother type of stash if I were to attempt it so not going to entertain the thought.
DeleteSherry of createology: This is such a cute hat with the little cars. I do admire the talented artists you share links to. This is an excellent quote. Let’s March on to Spring…
ReplyDeleteSpring can't come soon enough to suit me but they're predicting an extremely hot summer so I guess I shouldn't hurry it along too much. I had the little cars in my stash so it was a great pattern to use some of them.
DeleteThe hat is super nice! Nice work.
ReplyDeleteHopefully our little grandson will like it. He's currently in love with cars so hopefully that lasts for awhile.
DeleteThat's a very sweet chapeau! I'll bet it will be a huge hit with the recipient. I've done a little bit of needle felting and have dreams of doing landscapes in boxes. Open the box and be in another (tiny) world. But that artist you linked to is WAY ahead of anything I can aspire to - wow!
ReplyDeleteOoooh - I love the idea of doing little landscapes in boxes - a miniature world and a lot more fun than a dollhouse. I hope you do it!
DeleteWhat a cute hat. I especially like the little car buttons (they are buttons right?) driving down the road.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Yes, they're buttons that I've had in my stash for a long time. I figured the hat was a perfect use for them.
DeleteThat hat is awesome! What a great way to use those buttons.
ReplyDeleteIt was a win/win - used up yarn stash AND buttons.
DeleteLove the wool landscapes, very talented person.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful - would be nice to see her at work.
DeleteOooh... I wish I had a little one in my life to knit that hat for. The buttons are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI suppose if you really wanted to make it, you could always donate it!
DeleteI don't want to make one that bad. lol But yes... you're absolutely right, Mary Anne. :^P
DeleteWhat a beautiful finish. A beautiful little hat! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteI think our little grandie will like it. It was a fun make anyway.
DeleteThat hat is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHope our grandson feels the same!
DeleteI'm saving the directions for the Highway hat. My G Grand son would like it, especially the added car buttons. How cute! Your links send me down so many rabbit holes. I always forget how they make those endless bias strips. However, I rarely use bias for binding these days since I never make a curved edge quilt. Straight grain doesn't stretch as bad and therefore lays flat better for me.
ReplyDeleteThe highway hat is definitely cute. I hope our grandie likes it. As for bias, I'm using it for the 'stems' on my floral sprays on the quilt, otherwise I wouldn't be making it either.
DeleteStems. Oh yes, that makes a lot of sense.
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, that hat is adorable. That is going to make a little one very happy!
