Perhaps a monster - for Halloween?

This fellow was cobbled together trying to use up the leftover Bernat Blanket yarn from the previous two (much larger!) monster pillows I made.  I still have some of the green left but not enough to really make anything.  This guy measures about 17" tall.  There's no real pattern - the body and feet were from one, the arms from another, the horn from another and the eye more or less from the eyes used for the other monsters I made.

- If you're searching for ideas for helping others during the Christmas season, perhaps one (or more!) of THESE frugal suggestions might be just the thing.

- There are lots of tote bag pattern ideas HERE that would make great gifts.

- THIS small bag is perfect for carrying your cell phone and a few other essentials.

- THIS one is a little differently shaped and could hold all sorts of fun things.

Today the quote is from an unknown source..."If the broom fits, ride it!"

  1. Adorable! You are talented.
Great links. The cell ohone carrier is perfect. It can be worn under a jacket, and still be handy.

    1. I simply wanted to get that bulky yarn out of my stash. Unfortunately I'm still left with two partial balls - not really enough to make anything but I hate to get rid of it just in case something pops into mind.

  2. Shall we call you Dr. Frankenstein creating your own monster piece by piece! So creative and I love that you used up scraps to put it together. Happy Halloween!

    1. Hopefully our #1 grandson who's 8 will like it. Resident Chef thinks he's likely too old for stuffed toys but I'm trying to keep him little!

Sherry of createology: Mary Anne Dear your new Monster is adorable…I mean really SCARY!! Great links as always…thank you very much. Happy Halloween? Do you celebrate it in Canada? We have no Trick or Treaters here in our gated community.

    1. I think the monster is rather cute too. And yes, Halloween is a thing here as well, but we don't have any coming to our door at the apartment building. The building management shells out in the lobby but the kids aren't allowed through the buildings themselves.

  5. What a great way to use up the stash. Happy Halloween...still waiting for my first little visitor. It is after 7 pm and no one has knocked or yelled at my door as of yet. I am feeling a bit disappointed.

    God bless.

    1. I'm actually not surprised that there aren't many trick or treaters out this year - particularly after all the dire warnings online about the possibility of candy being laced with fentanoyl. Perhaps parents are going the house party route rather than running risks. I can't tell here because they don't allow kids to go door to door in the apartment buildings.

    1. Thank you! He was fun to make and served the double purpose of using some stash and a Christmas gift...win/win. (Welcome - thank you for visiting!)

Cute monster! Kids of all ages love stuffed 'stuff'. My 11 year old granddaughter still loves soft stuffed things - stuffies. Google tells me that "stuffies" is spelled wrong.

    1. Yes, stuffies is definitely a word....Google is the one that's wrong! I know girls love them but don't know what boys will think. We'll see, I guess.
