A whole lot of cross

And no, I'm not upset!  I've been having fun with cross stitches and have completed the base for the latest house ornament.  This one is the book shop and next 'up' will be to add the topstitching to bring it to life.

- For those who are missing in-person quilt shows, perhaps a peek through THESE will help!

- The creations of THIS artist are fun to see.  And have a click through the embroideries of THIS artist too.

- Scroll down through the gallery of THESE amazing artists!

- Experimenting with some of THESE techniques would be fun.

Today's quote..."Time passes so quickly.  You literally do not even notice it until it begins to show.  So, don't wait to use the good china, go on the trip, eat the cake, watch the late movie, read your favourite book, and take a chance in life...the time is now.  Live passionately while there is still time.  Remember, tomorrow is promised to no one.

  1. Yes to the quotation. And remember to enjoy now. That's already a lot, for most of us!

    1. Enjoying the now is sometimes difficult but that quote serves as a good reminder.

    2. Love the cross stitch. I have come to the conclusion that I like needlepoint more. Cross stitch takes so much time. That said, I will endeavour to complete the kits that I bought while in England.

    3. Needlepoint is definitely faster to do. It's been years since I did any so perhaps I might have to look into picking it up again. Hmmm.....although.....that might mean a whole 'nother acquisition of stash I don't need!!

I'm so thankful Greg and I lived our life as your quote mentions. We went ahead & spent some money on traveling and doing things together. I had decided if the government decided to bankrupt my retirement they could just lay me on the roadside when my health turns bad. I saw my parents save money and sit home for naught.

    1. Good for you. So many of us try to save for a rainy day and then end up like your parents (and mine). Many think they need to leave their money to their kids when in truth most kids would rather see their parents enjoy their lives.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
