Well, I tried!

Here are the promised videos, such as they are (!), for your viewing pleasure.  Obviously I'm not a video 'person' so they are pretty much on the amateur side, but I think you can get the general idea.

Now, I'm crossing my fingers that these will actually be viewable on your end!!

Today's quote..."Never change your originality for the sake of others because no one can play your role better than you"

    2. I don't think being a videographer is in my future, but glad you enjoyed the videos anyway.

  3. Both are amazing!! I can only imagine the effort and love that has gone into the fashioning of these two Advent Calendars. Love the quilting of the stars and presents. Love the videos, too. I was waiting to hear your voice talk to me, dear Mary Anne. =)

    1. Ah, hearing me is going to take awhile! Not sure my camera even has that capability and no doubt it would be a good thing if it didn't. I was just happy to even figure out the buttons to do the video in the first place!

  4. Wonderful! I don't know if it feels like it to you, but now (to me) it seems like you made all those ornaments and the tree quilts so quickly. I love that you showed the backs too. The pockets on the back are such a good idea - I assume for holding the little ornaments.

    1. Certainly didn't feel quick when I was in the throes of making them! It was fun to get back to doing some cross stitching though. And yes, the pockets are to keep the ornaments corralled as much as possible.

  5. There is Not a thing wrong with your camera work. I enlarged the videos - your Tags are wonderful. The boys will be thrilled.
A lot of patience and love would be needed for the fantastic birds. I'm in love with the house-grown tree and a nifty idea for glass, etc., cleaning.

    3. I didn't need to even use the CTL and + - they embiggened for me as they were. Interesting!

    1. Not so sure about the quality of the videos, but I tried! Hopefully the grands will like them (and their parents won't hate me too much for them having to find wall space to hang them).

  7. The videos were great Mary Anne and I just loved seeing the calendars. The boys are going to love them. The ornaments have so much detail in them.... what did you back them with? Enjoy the rest of your week! Christine xx

    1. Backing the ornaments? The calendar with the red buttons - the ornies were backed with fussy cut Christmas-themed fabric I had in my stash....and the one with the gold buttons was backed with some white and gold metallic snowflake fabric.

  8. Enjoyed your videos. It gives a closer look that causes even more amazement in realizing all the handstitching done in such a short time!

  9. Great job with the videos. It's so nice to see the fully completed projects in their entirety. I've used denture tablets in our toilets with mixed results. Have to remember to add water to get above the water line, otherwise quite sparkly.

    1. I've never tried the tablets in the toilet but it's on my list of to-do's. Glad you enjoyed the videos.

  10. I loved the videos, they both look amazing! The stitched packages hiding under the pieces on the bottom are great.

    1. My video skills I know leave something to be desired, but at least you got the general idea. The packages worked for quilting so win/win.
