Retail therapy - of the mail order sort

Sometimes a girl just has to have some retail therapy and, because it's not such a great venture to go to the store in person these days, sometimes it just has to be mail order.    These were purchased with possible Christmas creations in mind, along with a couple of pieces that were 'just because'.

The very day I ordered these, there was an email pop up from another online shop offering me a 20% discount because it was my birthday.  Well, what's a girl going to do but succumb and order these....

Sorry about the glare - it's actually a bit of waxed cloth that might be used to make that wallet pattern.  The cloth comes with all sorts of instructions and warnings so not sure about it yet but it might be an interesting experiment if nothing else.

Today's quote.."Don't stress the could haves.  If it should have, it would have"

  2. It's the least you could do when someone is twisting your arm with 20%! And besides....it sounds like you might be a Leo and Leo's are rarely wrong....(coming from another Leo)

  3. Love buying fabrics and definitely we need Retail Therapy these days. I just picked u some more mask elastic and while I was waiting orange ric-rac and grey kitty fabric hopped in my hands. You dear have hit the jackpot with amazing links today. Did I miss your birthday??? When is/was it? Happy Birthday no matter what day. Keep Celebrating every day! <3

    1. Fabric (and yarn!) retail therapy is THE best! Orange ric rac and kitty fabric - looking forward to seeing what you make. Birthdays aren't a big deal here so we don't make a big deal out of it. Resident Chef's is on July 21 and mine is the 22nd....we would normally go out for supper on his b'day so he doesn't have to cook but that was out this year of course.

    1. Fabric shopping is most definitely therapeutic but one must be careful not to have to take out a bank loan to pay for it!

  7. Hi Mary Anne,
Just like you, I thought I had enough 'stuff' (can we ever have enough fabrics, etc?) and then I received an email saying that I had £10 off my next order. Well, I don't want that to expire, do I? I may have to order more 'stuff'. Oh well, c'est la vie.

    1. Must have been a fabric discount offer going around! I couldn't turn it down either. One of the shops is discontinuing their loyalty program and asks that people convert their 'points' into a gift certficate that has to be spent by the end on the month. Well, what's a girl to do? There's more fabric on the way.
