Another beginning and a little tutorial

I've made several of these that will be added to the Christmas box and thought maybe some of you might like making them as well.  So....a mini tutorial....

Easy Peasy Dish Scrubbers
1 ball of Red Heart Scrubby Yarn
5.5 mm knitting needles, either circular or straights
Cast on 22 stitches and knit every row until scrubbie is square. Loosely cast off.  One ball of the Scrubby yarn will make four.  These wear like iron and do a great job on your dishes, pots and pans.

And...another landscape begins.  This is the photo I'm using for inspiration...

The raw beginning!

It seems like Blog-grrr is doing a new 'thing' and has
changed the way links are done.  Hopefully it will
be okay on your end but don't be surprised if you
have to do a two-step process to get to the links.
Hopefully it's just a hiccup and they'll fix it soon!

Today's quote..."Better an oops than a what if"

  1. The new picture is really neat with the partial truck and side angle view...
I am finally on New Blogger for good --I still am trying to navigate; and why do they send
you to a link instead of right to the blog on your list?? S I G H

    1. It's going to be a fun photo to attempt to recreate for sure.
New Blog-grrr is having birthing pains it seems and hopefully they will figure it all out before long. In the meantime every day can be a blogging adventure!

  2. Can hardly wait to see the new quilt art being created. Great photo. I've never heard of Scrubby yarn -the scrubbers sound really good. I'm having no bother at all with opening links in Blogger.

    1. Interesting note about the links - Julierose (above comment) had issues with the links but you and I don't. One of those things that defy logic.

  3. A new adventure in landscape fibers! Blogger keeps changing things. Each day it seems you have to upload pictures differently from before. And they change the order of the buttons so I find myself in an unexpected screen when I touch where a button used to be. But it's working pretty well.

  4. I love this new project! Was that an old Firetruck? I'm wondering what the emblem on the door was. Thanks for sending readers to my post! I have made a couple of those scrubbers but with crochet.....I have attempted knitting on more than one occasion and just can't seem to get the hang of it......I know the stitches are very similar to crochet but my old brain won't instruct my hands to do it successfully...haha Looking forward to seeing this new project come alive! Love the quote......you won't ever know unless you try.......

    1. It doesn't really appear to be an emblem - more like the door was replaced and is now rusting out in the center. As for learning to knit - I started out crocheting and had an awful time trying to learn to knit. I still can't do 'involved' patterns and prefer something really simple. If I have to do a whole lot of counting I don't even try the pattern because it's a foregone conclusion that I'm going to lose my concentration and mess it up.

  6. Love the new landscape Mary Anne! I haven't been blogging as much as I would like recently and every time I do write a new post, blogger has changed the way you do something and what took one click is now something more complicated!! It's like an exciting new challenge every time! Hah! Have a lovely weekend! Christine xx

  8. Oooh! Another truck quilt. Have I already mentioned that your truck quilts may be my favorites?

    1. I think they very well could be my favourites too. Although I love the old buildings.

Thank you so much for leaving comments! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy life to talk to me. It's wonderful to know that someone is actually reading my mumblings and even more fun if I can connect with you and visit your blog.
