I've been spending more hours than I care to admit monkeying round with creating a pattern/tutorial for making this jewelry holder.....
It's hard to see in the photo below but there are three pocket sections, one zippered and the other two covered with flaps. There's a removable earring holder as well.
This one will be gifted at Christmas to the same friend who will be receiving the brush roll holder for her birthday next month. If I manage to get the pattern written clearly enough I will post it here for anyone who also might like to make them. I plan to include a piece of costume jewelry with these.
Today's quote..."If you find something that makes you giggle, smile or laugh....buy it or marry it!"
Lovely jewelry keeper......if you click on your image it enlarges it in a new window and one can see it quite clearly. Very nice. Your friend will enjoy this gift!
ReplyDeleteI hope she likes it! Glad you were able to see the details by embiggening the photo.
DeleteHow beautiful Mary Anne! I am sure your friend will love them both! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteShe's usually a fan of what I do, so hopefully this will be a winner. I plan to include a fun necklace with it as well.
DeleteMA Dear you have created a wonderful Jewelry Roll for your friends Christmas gift. Thank you for these interesting links. Staying Well...again. Had to be retested and once again we escaped with negative results. So beyond grateful.
ReplyDeletePhew - very glad the retest came out okay! Reason to be grateful for sure.
DeleteHi Mary Anne,
ReplyDeleteA lovely gift for your lucky friend! The earring holder sounds interesting! Is that an additional pouch?
The pouch for masks sounds interesting! Might try that! Hubby wanted something to put his mask in when he isn’t using it.
Hugs,
Barbara xx
Thanks Barbara - glad you like it. The earring holder part of it is just a strip of plastic canvas that's removable so it's easy to attach the earrings.
DeleteThank you Mary Anne!

Nice gift, Marianne. Thanks for the link to the floss color match site.
ReplyDeletexx, Carol
You're welcome Carol - I thought that color match site was something a lot of us would find useful.
DeleteLove your design! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteAs for the mask pocket on the link, I'm not feeling for it. A dirty mask shouldn't be anywhere near clean ones. Dirty face napkins don't go back on one's purse thing.
I use a disinfected washed out well Altoids tin to keep an extra mask with me. The metal is much easier to clean than fabric.
I agree - I wouldn't want to put a used mask in with clean ones, but I suggested that perhaps carrying a small bottle of hand sanitizer in the extra pocket might be the way to go. Altoid tins are a great alternative too!
DeleteThe Jane Blair quilts were very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great artists out there - really wish I could showcase more of them!
