Two days

Here you can see the result of my having two entire days at home and being able to spend them working on this project (those days are definitely rare!)...

The trees have been thread painted (a solid day of work there alone!) and now I'm working on the borders.  The picture isn't the greatest but you can get the general idea I think.

And, another in the getting older series of quotes..."As I get older I realize that when I was a child I thought nap time was punishment.  Now it's like a mini-vacation"

    1. A nap very rarely happens around here - at least for me anyway. I guess I'd rather be playing in my sewing room.

    1. Good thing snowmen are cute which makes up for the fact that they're made of snow!

  4. When I feel like I need a nap I usually push through it and find something to do or go out to get fresh air. I know I am wrong, but sleeping is a waste of time for me. I often go to sleep at night and wish to get to sleep right away, sleep through the night and get up early. Really, I do. I swear when I was young I functioned very well on 4 hours sleep a night. Love that little gnome wreath you linked to. Your landscape is looking great. Love those hard worked trees.

    1. A nap in our household only lasts as long as DH is sitting down. The minute he gets up he heads for the kitchen and starts banging things around (I'd hate to think it's on purpose!) so I rarely indulge in a nap, much as I might like to.

  9. Thread stitching trees is time consuming and definitely uses up lots of thread. I usually use different colours of green in bobbin and top of machine as sometimes the bobbin threads come to the front leaving a nice effect.

    1. I sometimes wonder how many miles of thread I put into one of the landscapes - sure seems like I go through a lot anyway. Good idea to use a different colour in the bobbin - I'll have to try that!
