I pretty much finished this page over the weekend...
The tent (made from a recycled suede jacket) opens and will have a family picture inside once I get some more ink for my printer.
Today's quote is from Rick Godwin..."One reason people resist change is because they focus on what they have to give up, instead of what they have to gain"
Nice work! The tent is a great idea for a holiday gift. Love the quote. Good words to guide cleaning out closets.
ReplyDeleteNever thought of the quote applying to closets, but you're right!
DeleteThis is a terrific page! Love the idea of putting a family picture inside the tent. Are you designing each of these pages, or are you following a pattern? Either way, your creativity is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThanks Becki! I can't say I'm designing the pages per se - I'm using ideas I see on the internet and then changing them up to suit. I like the idea of him being able to open the zipper and find a picture of people he recognizes.
DeleteFun progress, Mary Ann.
ReplyDeleteI like the casserole carrier link, Sew4Home has good tips and tutorials. That is a challenge to get
a big serving dish of chicken enchiladas in the back of the car and drive through town to destination with
no spills or mishaps. That carrier would make it easier!
Very thoughtful quote.
Chicken enchiladas - mmmmm!!!! The carrier would be perfect, not only for yourself but it would make a great Christmas gift too!
DeleteOh you have such clever ideas. Not only a great tent but a family photo to surprise your G'son. A winner for sure!
ReplyDeleteSorry to say it wasn't my original idea - came from something I saw on the internet. I just changed it up somewhat.
DeleteI love your tent page and the family photo will be the perfect look inside. Fun links again dear. Good thoughts on this quote. Autumn Bliss...
ReplyDeleteI like to put family photos in quiet books - makes them more interesting I think. Glad you enjoyed the links!
DeleteGorgeous and a great idea for the photo! Christine xx
ReplyDeleteJust have to choose a photo that will fit and it'll be done!
DeleteVery clever. Such a nice page for the quiet book.

Thank you! It was a fun one to make.
DeleteI'm loving your book pages so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks Quinn! I'm certainly having a great deal of fun making them.
DeleteYour book page ideas are great! The use of suede is also another interesting texture for a little one.
ReplyDeleteI try to include as much texture as I can, just for that added bit of interest for a little one.
